LingitoRain Ponchos Family Pack - Emergency Drawstring Hood Poncho for Children & Adults Lightweight Reusable or Disposable

Bought the family pack right before a family trip to Disney world. Great purchase. Sleeves have elastic cuffs and the hood has a drawstring. It rained today while we were at Magic Kingdom and the ponchos definitely came in handy! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

The ponchos were lightweight and easy to fold down, but we’re good quality. The adult size has the draw string hood and elastic at the wrists, but the kid size does not. It was nice to have the colored ponchos; our family stood out in the sea of clear ponchos at Universal Orlando and Disney World. The kid size was a little smaller than expected, especially arm length. Pictured are my average size 6 and 9 year olds.

I purchased these for our trip to Disney, The color options for adults and children were great. You get green, blue, yellow, and red in both children and adult sizes. We used them for afternoon rain showers that are typical in Florida and also for a couple of the water rides when I didn't want my backpack and its contents to get soaked. I thought the quality was good and it kept everything that was covered dry. The cons for this are that they are not breathable and cause massive amounts of sweat in humid climates. To me, these are perfect for places like Oregon, Canada, Ireland, and other cooler, rainy climates. I ended up wrapping my backpack in one at Disney and just dealt with the rain on my own because it was more comfortable to be in the rain than to be dripping with sweat in the poncho. Another con is that the kids' ponchos did not have drawstrings. I understand this can be a safety concern; however, there was no point in having the hood feature because it did not stay on without a drawstring and it frustrated my children. The length hit my 4 year old son's shoe tops and my 6 year old at her upper calves (but they are both very tall for their ages and 99th percentile for height). So this tells me that the kids ponchos are made for those around 5 years old and up which, to me, is age appropriate for incorporating a drawstring in the hood. The other con was the price. For something that we ended up having to ditch because of breathability issues, it was definitely overpriced. So overall they do the job an come conveniently packed. I would absolutely recommend these in cooler climates, but I would avoid this set if you are traveling anywhere with a warm or humid climate because you will find yourself ditching them quickly.

I ran the infamous Boston Marathon 2018 in this poncho. If you did not hear, drenching freezing rain, 30-40 degrees and 20-30 mph headwinds were the conditions. I ran the first 10 miles in this poncho. I actually gave out the other 3 to people with other ponchos that were trash compared to this one. This had elastic around the arms and a drawstring around the hood. This was the single best decision I made the whole race 😂. The poncho was perfect, the shipping was fast. If I could give 10 stars, I would.

Bought this pack for our week-long family Disney World vacation. Despite the threat of rain all week, we only needed to break them out once. They come in individual zip-loc bags making them easy to store in our backpack. Elastic at the wrists is a nice touch to keeping out the rain. Draw strings are on the adult ponchos only, and help sinch the hood around your face. After we wore them, it is possible to get them back into the storage bags, but it was tough. They do take up more room after putting them back in the storage bags. Overall, good quality. Not the thickets ponchos I've ever worn, but they were just right for the trip.

Bought this for my kid and me to go camping in the summer. It rained 5 of the 7 days and these kept us dry. On the good side, we each on used one poncho for the week. My kid's poncho was a little worse for the wear because he's a kid and kid are hard on things. Mine was just fine and would have lasted longer. On the bad side, these things are hot! They really keep the heat in and more than a few times I had to lift mine up to release some heat. Sometimes it is just better to be wet than hot. Also, I felt the elastic (ie. rubber band) on the wrists was a little tight. My wrists are not big, so I can only image what it would have been like for someone larger than me. I guess you could cut the elastic out and it would still work. Lastly, I never used the hood drawstring and found it to be cheap string that frayed. I preferred the look of the child version that didn't have the drawstring or elastic. If I were to do my trip again, I'd probably get a standard poncho that can allow air in the sides to held cooling.

We planned ahead and took these to Washington DC with us this summer. We ended up needing them at Mount Vernon when a huge rain system moved through.One thing I wished was that the kid’s sizes had been made as functional at the adult ones. On the adult ponchos, they’re long-sleeved with elastic at the wrists and ties on the hood to keep things in place. The kid’s sizes don’t have those features and they’re short-sleeved. My 10yo was able to use an adult poncho, but my 6yo was too short and got a kid one. They served their purpose though, didn’t cost $5 each, and I was even able to get them back into their pouches after they dried. Winning!

Ok, I rarely write reviews anymore. That being said, this is how much I loved these ponchos. I'm 5'9" 160lbs and the adult sizing was PERFECT. They were long enough to keep your shorts and butt dry through heavy down pour. This also allows you to wear them on the rides without fear of getting your butt wet from leaving your poncho on. The adults ones also do not have snaps on the side... Thank you! The snaps always allow for water to sneak through. They are also not too big and not too small. The adult ones also have a tie to close the hood... Perfect to keep your face dry. We used an extra adult one to cover our umbrella stroller.... Worked like a charm! All of our stuff stayed dry once we tied a few openings closed. The kid ponchos we're great too. They didn't have neck ties, but I don't know that the kids would have liked it anyways. If you're on the fence with these ponchos for an upcoming trip, just buy these! They won't disappoint. Don't forget to pack your water shoes and a pair of dry shoes for your rainy Disney day.
