Was pleasantly surprised when I took it out of the box. It looks and feels like a good quality reel. Fits nicely in the palm of your hand. I put 30lb KastKing braid and it effortlessly cast like a boss. Very nice reel so far. Thanks KastKing.

The Deadbolt is a awesome reel will have no problem getting those fish out of the pads, grass.

By the third time fishing I am getting slippage in my hook sets. I can literally pull the line out with little effort. In a "normal" real that you can set the drag, you can tighten the drag but because there is no way to set the drag when you get slippage, you can't tighten or do anything to fix it. I tried pulling the reel apart to see if something is broke. Best I can tell is that its something in the spool that is allowing movement. I'm probably going to return it but I haven't decided if I'm going to get the same reel or go in a different direction. In the end, the concept is good but if the pieces wear out it becomes a problem.

I been waiting a long time for a reel like this that is all aluminum frame from kastking! This reel is the juice!!! The bearings are super good for long distance casts. Just got a top 5 finish using this reel frogging during the bass federation qualifier #6

Saved the reel for the right time of year. Used it and first fish I went to reel in and the reel seat broke . Very disappointed!!

Finally, a reel that won’t have the drag slip on a hook set. This reel was designed for Florida fishing.
