It picks up pecans, acorns and pine cones. Of course youre going to pick up leaves and pine needles also but thats just another plus for keeping the yard neat. Simple to operate, assemble and store.

A great tool. Better have the ground clean though because it will pick up debris. When you have a big nut crop, you need this.

So much easier and less back breaking than picking up any old fashion way! Only thing is that even after you've blown away the leaves as best as you can, it still picks up a ton of leaves and little sticks. So you have to stop and clean it out every so often.

It works okay, not great. Really expected a more heavy duty tool for the price.

I was hesitant about spending $500 on a tool that may not work, but this machine exceeded my expectations. My family has 8 large, mature pecan trees planted inside of a grass yard. This tool, I can say, is the perfect mechanism to harvest on such a surface. Lawn prep is probably the key to effortless pickup: if you have to pick up from a lawn setting, I would advise cutting your lawn shorter than usual and then blowing the leaves/debris away. After we did this, we were able to pick up I’d say 90-95% or the fallen pecans on the first pass. It was incredible. We harvested more pecans than we ever have, mainly because we didn’t have to break out backs bending over all day or dealing with frustrating equipment! I’m sure the narrower models would have worked for us as well, but the thickness of this apparatus helped us get it done faster. I would highly recommend.

Bought this for my mom back in May. She has 13 pecan trees. She is finally able to try her new pecan picker toy this month. She gave me the biggest thank you. Such a time saver, back pain reliever. Not to mention she doesn’t struggle pushing even post surgery on her knee.

Saved us from our mass production of acorns and is the best way of gathering pecans. There is trash to separate from the pecans, so raking up the leaves first is a must. That’s true for a lesser extent for acorns.
