The Best Cartons - I'm never going back to other brands!
I love these cartons! They are exactly what I was looking for and a great price. They are now my go-to cartons for everything food-related, and I'll definitely be purchasing more over the years. We have these cartons in 8 oz, 16-oz, and 32-oz. We use the 16-oz most often, but the 8-oz is perfectly sized for meal portions for me, and prepped meal stock (like homemade Cream of Chicken I store in the freezer).I started buying these cartons about over a year ago. My husband and I cook a lot, everything from scratch. We have a deep freezer, and these cartons have held up better than the any other brands we've used over the years--and trust me, we've used all the name brands over the years. We use these containers for everything from salsa to squash to storing leftovers.THE LIDS: Sometimes the lids are harder to get off, but once you get the hang of it, it's no problem. It never annoyed me, but slightly annoyed my husband to the point he broke a lid once trying to get it off. You also just have to double-check it to make sure it's shut all the way. I don't even think about it any more; it's just habit (and honestly, that's almost any carton out there). I honestly like that it takes a little more effort than the other kinds of cartons because I know the seal is solid and not going to pop off in my freezer, no matter what we stack on it.I do wish the cartons were square for better space, but everything else outweighs that. The only staining I've noticed is when I've stored tomatoes or Tikka Masala in the cartons, and honestly, I couldn't care less. The staining doesn't bother me.In response to other reviewers:- we've never had these cartons break in the freezer (though we have had all the other brands break... and then had to clean up the pieces)- the ratio of broken lids / containers (just from regular use) has gone down to 1/4 of what it used to be with other brands- dollar store quality: I would definitely disagree. I've bought a few cartons at the dollar store (hated them) when I was first married and will never go back. These cartons have been nothing like those. They actually might compare more to what they might give you if you go to the grocery deli and get a pasta salad (I'm pretty sure they use the same type of cartons). So if you like what you see there, you get the idea of what this is.-BPA-free: It was listed as such on the packaging when it arrived. My husband also works in the quality department at a high-end, international company that's main focus is healthy food and vitamins, and he has to ensure that their products are in the best materials. He has to fly around the world to the different manufacturing facilities to audit those facilities and make sure they are held up to the company's standards, and that the containers they use for their products (especially the food items) are the highest of quality to match their high pricing structure. He said the plastic grade that this carton has is basically as good as you can get as far as it comes to plastic. If you are still worried, maybe just switch to glass, or throw out cartons when they start show wear/tear.Pros- solid, quality containers- plastic that is considered the "safer" kind- BPA-free (listed as such on packaging)- Durable, even when used consistently in both freezer and microwave- they stack so well, and go really high-interchangeable lids (yes! you don't have to store all the lids separately)- hard to stain from food- great sealCons- they are circular and not as space-efficient- sometimes lids can be harder to get off

Seem pretty durable
I’ve been using these for a little while and they’ve gone through the dishwasher several times and they are holding up pretty well—no warping or cracking. They’re a little more rigid than the last set of containers I bought, but that doesn’t seem to be a problem. I don’t normally keep soup or liquids in them, but nothing has leaked so far.I’d get these again and recommend them.

Practical, economical storage solution that doesn't disappoint
These were better than I expected. I found them sturdy and durable (though I haven't had them long). The tops fit fine, and I especially like that I can easily release air from the containers to create a sort of vacuum seal. These are a great small size for leftovers and food prep, but i also bought two other larger sizes. They all use the same lids and they stack nicely. I imagine that if left out to thaw and get warm, they could pop their vacuum seals, but otherwise i consider them fairly leak proof. Not fancy, just a no frills storage solution that doesn't break the bank.UPDATE: I have been using these for awhile, now, and I like them better with each use. The lids fit tight and the seal is air tight; they don't ever leak; I can see what's inside them; I have frozen large batches in them, perfectly, with no freezer burn; they microwave well (I have a small microwave oven), and they do. not. stain. They are just so convenient and always at hand; because they nest, they don't take up much room, and you can have a decent variety of sizes even in a small space. These are an incredibly good deal and i recommend them highly, still.

Every person that loves to cook or craft should own some of these.
I love the "my lid nightmare is over" review that was a cute way to put it. I purchased 3 different sizes of these containers to package food for friends and family. I also wanted to use these when I am prepping veggies and such ahead of time but don't want a massive amount of space taken up in my fridge. I was not getting my Rubbermaid containers back, so I switched to glad takealongs and realized that was simply too expensive, so I began looking around and found these. These are good quality (just like the ones you would get from your local deli or Chinese restaurant). I also felt the pricing was right in line with the product. Now, when I have cooked a large dinner and want to send my mother and sisters care packages, I do not have to stress over getting the container back. These are perfect for home use. I also like the fact they are clear, you can see exactly what is in the container, which makes use in craft rooms also perfect !! I had beads galore, along with several other small craft items I just didn't know what to do with when trying to store them. Every person that loves to cook or craft should own some of these. Versatile, sturdy, reasonably priced.
People always ask me where I get these when I bring one to work or a potluck dinner or something. They are pretty unique in the world of food storage. The ones I have I have had for a long time, because they last forever. They are thick, including the tops. They can be frozen or microwaved. I wash them in the dishwasher and they don't warp at all. They snap tight and don't leak, and they are stain resistant - you know, from that spaghetti sauce you put in them all the time! At the top of my list of "likes" is that they are very, very reasonably priced. And I love the various sizes. I can afford to stock all three sizes for all kinds of uses. But I think maybe the thing I like best is the fact that the tops on all three of the Reditainers fit all the others. So instead of having a box or drawer full of tops and another full of containers and none of them go with each other, I always have the right top handy!
