Smooth, dry lubrication that works without mess or dirt buildup
This WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube sprays on evenly and stays where applied without dripping or running โ dries to a smooth, low-friction finish that noticeably improves operation of moving parts like recliner mechanisms, garage door hinges, slides, and shop tools โ reduces friction effectively while avoiding the oily residue that attracts dust and dirt โ Smart Straw makes it easy to switch between wide spray and targeted application โ works well for both indoor household mechanisms and light shop use. At around $7.98, it costs a bit more than basic lubricants, but the clean application, long-lasting dry film, and reduced dirt buildup make it a good value for maintenance tasks where cleanliness matters.

Smooth, Clean, and Built to Last!
I started using WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube with Smart Straw because I was tired of traditional lubricants attracting sawdust and grime on my table saw and drill press. From the first spray, I could tell this was different. It goes on wet, then dries to a clean, non-greasy film that leaves surfaces slick without that oily residue that turns into a dust magnet. My table saw fence glides effortlessly now, and my lathe feels smoother and more controlled during use. The Smart Straw is a huge bonusโit lets me switch between wide sprays and precise applications in seconds, which is perfect when working around tight mechanisms or exposed surfaces. I also appreciate the corrosion protection; even in my sometimes-humid shop, metal surfaces stay clean and rust-free. This feels like a true industrial-strength product, not just a household fix. If you want smoother operation, less cleanup, and long-lasting protection for your tools, WD-40 Specialist Dry Lube absolutely delivers!

Great Dry Lube Spray
One of my favorite dry lube. Decent amount for a decent price. Seems to keep rust away and most of surfaces sprayed do dry but some areas may still have a wet film. Good for initial cleaning of bearings or spray down of tools or bits to keep sharp and from rusting. Only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 is because this used to have Teflon PTFE in it but new formula doesn't and has been removed from the spray. Probably better for health of planet and of user but im not sure its quite as good as older version that has Teflon in it?

Excellent
I use this on my Henry Miller chair because it was super squeaky and it fixed it right up. Way better than regular oil now the chair does not squeak at all.

Never put a rag to your bicycle chain again
I've used WD-40 Dry Lube on bicycle chains now for over a year. (4000 miles + between my wife and I) Many schools of thought about this task, and over the decades, I've done it using many methods and materials. Hear me out... Most methods involve running your chain through a rag after lubrication with whatever, and keep doing it until the rag comes relatively clean. The chain looks nice, but small particles of gunk is being forced into your rollers, and in-between chain plates. What I've done with this WD-40 product is spray it directly on the chain and the rear cluster while turning pedals by hand. The straw keeps the pressure strong enough to both clean the chain and lubricate it. It actually gets the cluster really clean too. (use plenty of newspaper on the floor below) Once sprayed, I DO NOT wipe the chain down at all... just let the carrier evoporate overnight, and it's good to go next morning. Chain is quieter than ever - to the point of being almost totally silent. Sure... my pretty silver chain is a little blackish now, but for now, this really seems to work well. When chain starts getting a little noisy, time to do it again. The biggest mess is on the floor - I've been amazed that there is not more overspray on the bike. Works great for me.
