Like the product but delivery wasn't good.
Lechuza Basicpon is great substrate for growing cacti and succulents. It consists of lava rock, pumice and zeolite. Fast draining and retaining just enough moisture for the cacti to have a good drink without risking overwatering. In humid UK weather it's perfect for growing cacti and succulents indoors. I water my cacti in summer with a bit of fertiliser and it seems to be enough. You could also add a bit of warm castings or soil for plants which prefer richer substrate. Can be used with any house plants really instead of perlite. To add drainage and make the soil lighter. Great product.

Great!
I have previously made my own semi pon from the same components that are in Basicpon, but for ease I bought a couple bags of Basicpon. Value for money is about the same as the one I mixed myself, so not really good or bad. It's ever so slightly smaller than the components in the one I mixed myself and a little more dusty, but outside that I can't really tell any difference. It's good quality and does what it says on the tin, thankfully without the fertiliser pellets that they add in the other semi pon mix. I have a few of my baby plants in this pon, plus an adult monstera albo half moon and a spotted begonia, all of which are thriving and healthy. Can't recommend switching to semi pon enough, really has made a world of difference for my plants and me. So much easier to avoid over watering, or under watering, and not a single gnat in sight. Will be re-purchasing when I run out again.

Reusable, with no fungus gnats! 🤞🏼
I have to say I haven’t actually tried this out yet but I’m really looking forward to it. I am sick of dealing with compacted soil or fungus gnats! And it can be used for propagation which is amazing. The best part is that the entire thing can be washed out and reused. Amazing!

This was a nice big bag of pon. I use it in the base of some of my plant pots.

The self-watering pots from Lechuza are the best system for watering plants that I have tried! Simply put the plants in there and let it grow. We have used these for about one year and we have purchased more and more in different sizes, now we have about 15 pots. We use the for all types of plants, inside the home and also outside. Outstanding quality and well designed. They are a little more expensive, but will keep your plants alive :)
