A Magic Steeped In Poison

Seriously how gorgeous is this cover?Aesthetics aside, A Magic Steeped in Poison has turned into one of my favourite reads of 2022 so far.Granted I found it a little laborious at the start but once it picks up, it had me hooked.The magic is gorgeous and vivid, as an avid tea drinker I love the idea of magical properties of tea, and the nature based magic and imagery is delightful.The story (once it gets going) is tense and full of intrigue. I do feel bad for Ning for being so clueless!The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because of the slow start, (the romance is a tiny bit forced and didn't feel entirely needed) and the annoyingly large cliff hanger - which I have to wait to long to find out!
