There were several reasons for buying this item as well as its traditional meaning of bringing luck!I wanted my daughter to have something old and something blue on her wedding day and this fitted the bill perfectly. Although you are unable to choose the year of the sixpence, I couldn’t believe my luck when it arrived and it had the exact date on that I wanted :) The forget-me-not flower was not only a precious reminder of both sets of grandparents that had passed, but as it now represents dementia, that too was close to our hearts.All in all I would highly recommend this beautiful keepsake and I know that my daughter will treasure it always.

This is perfect and sentimental. My twin sister is getting married and I know that she appreciates this small way to remember family that we wish were able to still be with us.

Loved the good luck and the "forget me not " sentiment . But sixpence isn't clean,in fact very tarnished-- will not be giving to my daughter for wedding until thoroughly cleaned,so in that respect I was quite disappointed, will clean and 're evaluate.
