Who needs a thumb anyway?
I bought size 2t-4T in mittens because my 4 year old struggles to get his fingers into his snow gloves. He is average sized, about 43 pounds in weight, and these mitttens are difficult to get on. I'm not sure if he has gotten his thumbs in completely. The thing that makes them work is they are nice and long and have the velcro strap to go tighten them around his wrist. Just put the coat on first.

They are a bit small, the thumb interior is kind of short inside. But my son loves the cushy camoflage. I am going to give them to his younger cousin, and he objects! Definitely made for a 2 or 3 year old (my son is 4).

Not worth the struggle
Had to give then away. My son couldn't get his thumb in them and it was a fight everyday.

2.5 year old hands seem to be to too big. I didn't think he had big hands...he just can seem to get his thumbs in the thumb slots. going up a size really helped with this problem

waterproofing is great, but they are a little short in the wrist and could be easier to put on.

Warm!!
Nice warm glove. Very long so needs to be put on before coat. Snow stays out.
