We are a small family business, founded by three generations: grandmother, mother, and daughter, with the dream of crafting high-quality products that enhance the family lifestyle. "Grete Knitwear has given me the opportunity to weave several passions in my life. It all began with a small knitted blanket given to me by my mother, Grete, when my first daughter was born. This treasured heirloom evokes memories of when I first learned to knit...At the age of seven, my mother took me to a small neighborhood store and bought me my first yarn. It was half-price; pale blue and discolored from sitting under the sun in the shop window. My mother patiently taught me to knit stitch by stitch and eventually I made my first blanket for my doll. I had to unravel it many times, learning from very early on: "If you are going to do something, you have to do it right." Who would have thought, back then, that this would be the beginning of a lifelong journey, weaving a rich history of family tradition? Years later, three generations came together to start a small project of making soft, high-quality baby blankets. It was the opportunity to share with my daughter and granddaughter a venture that had been one of my life passions. One link led to another and today we have a collection of knitted products for the family and home. The quest for attention to detail and pride in quality, which began with my first doll blanket, is our stamp in every piece we make.
