I made it work..
It works but it didn't screw very far in my vehicle, a 2002 Nissan frontier. If you didn't hold a bind on it, twisting in a clockwise direction, not only would it not seal, it would also blow out. Luckily it didn't do any damage to my threads whenever it blew out.
