Stopped working with SmartThings
I've been using 2 3rdReality Smart Buttons with smart lights and smart plugs for more than a year. They worked great. Until now. Both buttons suddenly stopped working. I've tried deleting and reinstalling them to SmartThings without success. I've looked and been unable to locate any support contacts to help resolve the issue. HELP!UPDATE July 1, 2023: Initial comment was posted 06/29/2023. I sent a message to ThirdReality requesting assistance. ThirdReality quickly responded with instructions and a link to update the drivers to get my buttons working again with SmartThings. I'd like to say the ThirdReality products are great and their customer service is 1st rate!

Great product, but does not work with THIRDREALITY Smart Bridge MZ1 Matter Hub
My living room does not have any switches, so I got the button to be able to control my smart lights' power and brightness with the press, double press, and long press. This product works with the THIRDREALITY Smart Hub Gen2 Plus ZigBee Hub, however, it does not properly work with the THIRDREALITY Smart Bridge MZ1 - Zigbee to Matter Hub. I initially got the Matter hub to try and utilize this new standard of connection, but the button does NOT pair with Alexa with this configuration, and it improperly pairs with the Google Home / Google Assistant as a Plug. I felt extremely frustrated by this, as the company seems to be pushing Matter with their new starter kits.As a last hope/attempt before starting a return, I specifically bought their regular Zigbee hub to see if it would work, and it did. The way the button is represented in both Google Home and Amazon Alexa are as three 'motion' sensors. One for click, one for double click, one for long press. I was able to setup routines in Alexa to control my smart lights for all three, and it works as intended. There is a slight delay since it has to be processed in the cloud, but the button works great as intended. Just know that in order to utilize this in its current state/firmware with the various Assistants, it needs to be on their ZigBee Hub and not their Matter Bridge Hub. Hopefully an update for this is on the company's road map.

ZigBee - it works
Installed on my ZigBee network, Home Assistant found it within 60 seconds of adding the included batteries. Waited a few minutes all options show up within Zigbee2MQTT. No issues, opens my garage door without delay.

Does not work with alexa
It connects but comes up as a plain switch. The advertised long press and double press options are not available. The detailed setup instructions are in a docx format with some images missing, and indicates it should come up as a motion sensor but it does not.

Stars...
I live in a rural area in one of the darkest areas of the country. I have a pole lamp with a motion sensor controlled by my Hubitat hub. I want it for security, I want it to come on for animals to warn me before I take my dog out or if there are human intruders. Sometimes I just want to go outside and see the stars and my pole lamp coming on doesn't work for that. I got this button so I could trigger my hub to not turn on the pole lamp even if there is motion from the sensors. I set it up so that one press gives me an hour and a double tap gives me two hours. Then it automatically reengages the motion sensors. It was easy to configure and has been working flawlessly. It has been over a month and the batteries still show 100% reported to my hub. I used the included magnets to place it near my door molding and above my switch cover so it is solidly in place but I can lift it right off to change the batteries when the time comes. Overall I would recommend this product.

A replacement remote for my garage door opener?
I am experimenting this smart button as a garage door opener remote. This device connected to my Home Assistant immediately, and easy to incorporate into automation. The blue LED indicator comes on when the button is placed but pretty faint, so it's hard to see the blue light especially during the daytime. While I can open the garage door from the inside the house reliably, but not from outside the house - due to the limited range of zigbee. Since the remote will go offline when the remote is away from the house and need to reconnect to the network, this may be why the remote will not open the garage door immediately. I am still optimizing zigbee network, but beginning to think that my old 90s garage door remote is more reliable and has a better range than zigbee-based remote. I tried another company's zigbee remote, but no better, possibly worse than this one.

Can't get Alexa routines even with proper hub
Changed from 1 star to 3 stars. See original review below.Support reached out to me and we got it working and it works fine. I can't give more than 3 stars because of the hassle of it not working right out of the box. Also, I don't like that when you press it, it gives a soft feel - I wish there was a click sound to know that you depressed it correctly. It is accentuated when you do a double or triple press, you don't know tactically that you did press it the number of times you meant to. Hopefully the next gen will address the issues I've mentioned.I purchased this as well as the THIRDREALITY Smart Hub Gen2 Plus, so I can use this button to turn my living room smart light bulbs on and off rather than relying on voice commands. Setting it up and it show up in the Alexa app was straight forward enough; it appears as three devices: Button 1 Click, Button 1 Double Click, and Button 1 Long Click. However, when I try to use any of them in an Alexa routine, nothing happens.I have three ThirdReality light switches and have been using them a long time and no real problems with them. However, what bothers me the most is that there doesn't seem to be any way to get support from the company. And I don't really see ThirdReality responding to any Amazon reviews.I end up chalking this up to live and learn. Fortunately I used Amazon points on this versus real hard earned cash.

Replaces an IKEA Tradfri Remote
So far, I'm very happy with this button. My IKEA Tradfri button only worked sporadically with SmartThings which is why I decided to try this. I don't know if the problem was the Tradfri or SmartThings but I would say this button has worked as close to 100% as possible. Setup was also very quick and straightforward.

Great little buttons
Work as expected. I like the single, double and hold for 3 functions. Have 4 of these now. Batteries are about 60% after 4 months of heavy use. No complaints
