Seems to be quite strong, although at times loses the ability to hold onto items deprnding on shape. For example it let go of a lighter of metal, but it picked up heavier metal poles and grapple hook. It held onto some large heavy metal cover but not strong enough to pick it up.On my first hour i picked up a couple a metal pole, the red pole, a grapple hook (which i will to clean and saves me buying one), odd scraps of metal, a plastic covered lighter and a couple of fishing hooks.Spent another hour this morning and found.two more metal poles, another metal item shown, 3 x coins, a screw, a washer, a very rusted Dr Pepper can and other odd bits of metal.I have now found quite a few items from my local river which will be recycled now and first item found within a few minutes of throwing the magnet in.I stuck my magnet using glue as suggested, rope came tied to caribaner so just attached magnet to metal caribaner ensuring it is securely screwed tight - no way it can come off unless rope breaks or it comes lose so check regularly and tighten.I would suggest ensuring all knots are removed before use.Overall seems good but not the pulling power suggested, but should be good for what most people would need. It may be worth buying an attachment to hold two magnets which may help or a stronger magnet if you want to pick up heavier items

Well this is a superb kit extremely high quality and at a great price I had no previous experience but the hand book it came with laid out simple instructions on setting the kit up and using it I'm extremely pleased and would recommend to anybody thinking of buying the rope is a very high quality comes with a little bag to put it all in 2 thanks for such a great product

Nice little magnet for beginners. Kids like to use it although we get very frustrated that it doesn't bring things its stuck to, up very easily. I brought this as a second magnet and it just doesn't have enough power behind it. The added extras are a nice little bonus but if you want to get heavy items then buy something heavier.

Why ask easy to remove? It's a magnet so should not be easy to remove so given a low score!! Got for Grandson who is now chomping at the bit to try it out. Tried on his fitness weights very impressed.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! The quality of the items are great and going to have lots of fun out magnet fishing. The customer service is the best iv have had in a very long time. Will probably order more as the kids want one now too.

Liked everything dislikes nothing even came with thread lock gloves and a decent rope with carabiner

Really pleased with this item, great value for money, arrived on time, even took it for a whirl with the kids this afternoon
