works great, kinda bulky
This was an amazing deal. First thing I did was give it to my 3 year old son while he was sitting in his car seat and let him play with it (locked) to see if he could figure out how to pry it open or open it any way. He was unsuccessful. I then gave him the key without telling him what to do with it. He had the key in and unlocked in about 4 minutes.Obviously the key would be hidden and he'd have no access to it but I wanted to see how long it would take should he find a key.Pros: I like that this could be customized to my particular handgun and if used properly can secure the trigger, safety, and slide rendering the firearm useless.Cons: it is very bulky on the firearm. So it made it difficult to transport in a small box.

Cheaply made and ineffective, but cheap in cost and got my gun out of the gun store.
PLEASE DO NOT BUY IF YOU EXPECT TO USE THIS AS YOUR PRIMARY SAFETY FEATURE.This lock did exactly as I intended for the cost. I bought a new handgun and California requires you purchase a new trigger lock within 30 days of take home (after 10-day waiting period). I keep my guns in a safe, so the last thing I needed was yet another trigger lock that I will never use. The price was right and I got what I paid for. The dealer was looking at me funny when I opened the package to install it and asked if that was a lock I used frequently. I firmly stated no, and this was just a cheapy to get the gun out the front door of the store. The lock is made of cheap plastic with plastic pins that clearly wouldn't prevent a child from breaking it off the gun. I threw mine away after getting my new gun home.

works great for a trigger lock
Works as designed. Put the pins in to secure the trigger on your specific firearm instead of a generic trigger lock, some of which can be moved and allow the trigger to be pulled with the lock in place. Giving it 3 stars because I've since started locking up the entire firearm when stored and have zipper locks on a bag when transporting which makes these redundant.

CHILD GUARD CS-100 Adjustable Firearm Safety LOCK
Took me a few tries to get it set up properly with all the pins and such, but when you do it wont wiggle at all. As for using a hacksaw on it not gonna try it...lol Got it mainly for when there are little ones around, and they happen to find where I stash it when they are there.

Custom fit has its limits.
I give it kudos for its ability to custom fit. The problem I had was that I had to basically break down the gun because it wouldn't fit around the grips and the top was pretty low exposing the trigger anyway. This may not have been the best fit for the gun I have.

this is the cheapest alternative(in terms of CA legal trigger guards) to allow a person to abide by California's terrible gun la
Looks and feels cheap and will also slide a little bit when on the gun however, this is the cheapest alternative(in terms of CA legal trigger guards) to allow a person to abide by California's terrible gun laws.

Practical and flexible
I purchased this just to give it a try. I think my initial assumption of it didn't predict it's overall practicality. I used it on three different guns- a S&W Hunter XL, Taurus Public Defender and Ruger LC9. I wanted to see how well it worked with guns of different shapes and each time (with a little repositioning of pins) it worked out well. I'm impressed it remained flexible and functional and not limited to a particular gun type or size.

Not so sure of the quality. Lots of plastic
I gave as a gift. Purchased due to it's DOJ Approval rating. Not sure of the quality. Lots of plastic.
