First off, I love Birkenstock Gizeh sandals. They're the only things I wear during the hotter months. These (iride strong red) are my third pair and they fit just as every other pair I own- consistent and perfect for my feet.Now, for the fit, they have a moderately high arch support, which is helpful as my feet are nearly flat. The thong part doesn't irritate my toes or the top of my foot, though there is a short breaking-in period where things adjust. With time, the cork bottom does mold to the shape of your foot and if anything, they become more and more comfortable with every year. Also, they hold up to rather aggressive wear.Size-wise, they run large. I'm a size 7 in boots, size 6 1/2 in sandals. However, in Gizehs, I'm a 5-5 1/2 (size 36 in Euro). So yes, you'll want to size down.For those interested in this specific color (iride strong red), think Dorothy's ruby slippers. Yes, they sparkle, but they come off as appearing a darker red. The top part of the leather is definitely shiny but the bottom part (that comes into contact with the top of your foot) is regular leather texture like other Gizehs.All in all, I am very satisfied with these sandals, and I will keep coming back for other colors as long as they offer them.

Love, love them! Wish they had in more colors and styles. Have wanted Birkenstocks for years but too ugly. I have a good size foot but ordered a 9 slim which I have never done before . Perfection!

I wasn’t feeling very confident about what my feet look like after surgery the scars still pretty visible, and the swelling is still bad didn’t have any shoes to wear to my sons graduation and then I seen these and fell in love my foot fits, and it covers the scar I give God all the glory

I have owned Birkenstocks for the past 20+ years. They appear to be a barely yellow sandal. Nope. Welcome to banana yellow shoes. Had to return. Still love the company, not this color.

I love this sandal in so many ways. I have purchased them before and they lasted for years with daily use. I now find that the regular fit is too narrow for my foot. Maybe my foot is wider now, but I was a bit disappointed that the comfort from that classic wide Birkenstock sandal was no longer available.

Cadeau qui a fait l'unanimité. C'est simple, depuis que nous avons découvert ces sandales allemande nous ne portons que ça. La moulure du pied étant faite, cest comme si on avait rien dans les pieds. Comfort total. Robustesse surprenante... 3 ans à les porté tout le temps incluant beaucoup de marche durant nos voyages.

These are so cute on and fit well. It takes a while to get used to the firmness of the toe thong but I imagine that will soften with time. It would be nice if they were made with a more pliable material.

I am so pleased with these shoes. It did take a couple weeks of wearing them about 2 hours a day to break them in but after that they are so comfortable. I would definitely buy them again!
