desertcart.com: Darn Tough Men's Micro Crew Ultra-Lightweight Run Sock (Style 1035) - Black, Small : Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry Review: thin, dry and cool. May be great for summer but not winter, if staying really warm is your concern. - These are very thin socks that are meant for running or sports where you need the maximum amount of drying and cooling, but not cushioning. It does a great job of wicking away moisture and keeping the feet dry and cool, where cool may not be wanted in the winter. It increases the surface area of the feet to wick and dry and cool the feet. Review: Very lightweight but good - Very lightweight sock, almost a liner. Still, very good.

Durable and comfortable. Not disposible
Great sock and work the price. They fit. They're snug, durable and regulate temps well. I like these thin weight versions for daily wear. And.comfort. stretchiness.is surprise.to get a.better.fit.over all. Higher for low city boots and dress shoes. And.low.cut for casual shoes an dress shoes on occasion

So light they disappear
Their lightness is both their gift and curse as it seems like this pair can disappear into the bottom of a bag or be kicked under a dresser so easily and not be spotted until an exhaustive search is completed. They get lost here or there, mistaken for this or that, mixed in with other socks, etc. all too easily. The pattern and darn tough branding on them quickly darkened and after repeated wear and washing has become such dark gray that it is hard to make out at all further helping these socks blend into obscurity. On the plus side, these things are so light they nearly disappear even when you are wearing them too. I do love the lightness of these socks. I had some short lightweight socks and some light hikers, but really was needing something light and with some length for some protection stomping around the woods and these turn out to just be a great pair of socks for lots of occasions. I have been very happy with these and am keen to put them through their paces regularly. On a side note, of all my darn toughs, these ultralights might be the one pair I actually have a shot at wearing them out just because they are so thin already and I like to put miles on them. It just remains to be seen if I can keep track of them long enough.

Get a size larger than you think you need.
Great socks - military boots are a little smaller than I'd prefer, so I needed socks that were very thin. These fit the bill perfectly. But they're SO small; I have to put lots of effort into stretching them out to put them on, but once they're on, they don't feel like they're squeezing my foot uncomfortably.

Not the wundersocke but one of the better socks I've tried. I'm on a sock quest.
I've been looking for some good socks. I have been disappointed with the general quality of socks lately. Mostly Chinese manufacture where all socks run small, or are seconds, or are a half-inch thick or have no give or stretch whatsoever, or shrink after one washing to baby socks. I had found the perfect sock about 10 years ago. It was made by Carhartt and was a blend of wool, polyester and Lycra. Those socks were so easy to put on. Perfect thickness. Reinforced toes and heel. Breathed well. Wore like iron. I wore those socks for years with steel-toed boots. They were washed hundreds and hundreds of times. I still have a few pair left but they're becoming threadbare. Of course, they were discontinued by Carhartt. Even the Carhartt seconds some seller on Amazon sold me wore well. Yep, they will try to pull the wool over your eyes. These socks by Darn Tough are a similar blend (why I bought them) but they look nothing like the wundersockes I had stumbled upon those many years ago. These socks, like all nowadays, run small. Buy the biggest darn socks they have. I assure you, they will not ever be too big unless you are Japanese and your parents bound your feet at birth. My feet are size 12. From any seller on Amazon, buy the biggest XXXXXXXL socks any seller can offer. They will never be too big. Least none that I've seen yet, and I'm still buying and trying to find that elusive wundersocke. (I've included a picture of the Darn Tough XXL sock, not much to see, with the best socks(XL) ever made.) (Those Darn Tough socks were washed twice, gentle dry)

Bring back in white!
Darn Tough used to make these in white, which I much prefer. I have three pair in white which I bought about six years ago and have worn daily; they're still intact except for now being see-through! Fantastic product, I just want in white!

Soooooo good. Makes me feel like I'm in control of my life. They fit great and you can just tell they are 10 notches above standard socks.

I have bought Darn Tough before and had a pair for 2 years. They are well made but sometimes wear at the heal.I returned them direct to them and received a brand new pair.

They don't give the shoe size of the socks so we just assumed that medium would be average size for a man wearing size 10 men's shoe. The socks we got were way too small for a man. We ordered medium men's socks and the socks we got looked like extra small. We kept it - I have women's size 5 1/2 shoe size and the socks were tight for me to put on.

Look great but not a good buy. After washing several pairs in medium water and drying in drier they shrank multiple sizes - bought XL and I am sure they are now XS. The one pair that did not shrink pilled like crazy. would not buy again.
