This is a HUGE bag of white pepper that is very finely ground, making it perfect for white sauces, cream soups, and other dishes you want the flavor but not the look of pepper. Most people wouldn't be able to distinguish the flavor from black pepper, and at least in my house, no one would bother trying--if they're going to nitpick my cooking like that, they're going to be doing the cooking instead.Since ground pepper will go stale faster than whole peppercorns, I will be using a whole lot of this in my daily cooking for a while. My palate can't detect much difference between white and black pepper in a finished dish.

Nice taste and aroma. A little pricey

The flavor and value for the price is terrific! My father fostered my love of white pepper at the Chinese restaurants and I have to have it among my spice cabinet bottles! This is a special purchase and will allow me to be a bit more liberal with my usage! Thanks for the memories and the heat!
