Rit Dye Liquid Fabric Dye - 8 Ounce, Navy - 2 Pack

I had a white cotton bath mat that always looked dirty. White rugs, ugh! So I dyed the runner navy blue, using both bottles of Rit in the front load washer. Came out great, very dark blue, toward the purplish end. So much better than white for hiding footprints and dirt (especially as we remodel, and thus walk around covered in sawdust and such!). I dried the mat in the dryer without any problems. My washer gasket wasn't stained by the dye, although I made sure to immediately run a bleach load to ensure it was dye-free. Quite pleased that I saved this nice cotton bath mat from eventually being thrown away for being irretrievably dingy.

Great in coloring my levis.

We have a fabric ottoman cover that has faded over time and instead of getting a new one we decided to try to dye it blue again. The bottle suggested using 2 if we wanted to deep color which we did and we are very happy with the results. I wish I had a before picture but the after looks like a new cover. We tried the powder version once before and got ok results but the liquid version was superb. It also suggested adding salt to the water and we did and I am guessing it helped hold the color. All and all very happy.

Intended to return a pair of mens cotton shorts to original navy blue color; it had begun to fade from frequent washings. I ordered 2 bottles of Navy blue. Filled my washer with the hottest water available to the small water setting, added dye, began to agitate the washer to make sure the dye was well mixed. Added pre-washed and still wet shorts to the washer and let it agitate for the entire agitation setting then re-set to agitate, and again to agitate. Set the rinse for cold and completed the cycle. They looked great. Line dried. He wore them once then I washed with other dark colors like black. Took them all out hang hung to dry and noticed that the blue was not the same as it was prior. Better than before I started, but wished it had lasted longer. Paid too much for a couple of uses and washing.

Works okay. The amount of prep and work to apply wasn’t worth the product washing out after 4-5 washes.

Had nice sweats that I got paint on. I used this dye, and it worked perfectly. They turned out better than expected. Let it soak for about 35 hours.
