Don't Be Afraid of Color
Are you a fan of Mood Indigo, the book from 2001 about decorating with dark colors? Then this book is for you. The pictures aren't quite as good (as it's hard to photograph dark rooms) but Abigail gives great advice on how to step away from beige and white and take chances. It's just paint. Most of us wouldn't think about doing charcoal gray in our living rooms or a black dining room but it actually looks fantastic, especially if you layer. I have read this book three times in the first two weeks I've owned it because I love it and I keep finding ideas every time I look through it. I'm ordering her older books now. For fans of color, this is a must own.

Good book for someone who is interesting in using color in their home rather than white and neutral minimalism.

Don't be afraid of using color!
I recently received this book as a gift. The photo on the cover is not nearly as appealing as all the photos in the book. This decorating book is well laid out with not too much text but distilled enough to inspire. A lot of dark colored walls and every room really does look so beautiful, complex and original. Ahern message is to experiment with color on walls, layer with texture and break all the color rules. I think this book offers great suggestions.
