The current mattress I have is still good, but with my back getting progressively worse each ...
I purchased this product due to moderate - severe back pain (left over remnants from the Marines). The current mattress I have is still good, but with my back getting progressively worse each year, I needed some sort of relief as it was taking me more and more time each morning to wind up a bit before I was fully mobile. I've slept on memory foam mattresses before as well as toppers. They were okay, but nothing that made me want to go out and purchase a similar product. Another colleague (former Marine as well) stated that his back pain (in the morning) has almost disappeared since he bought the TEMPUR-Topper Supreme. I did a quick search after speaking with him and found a too-good-to-pass-up price via Amazon (other sites to include TEMPUR-PEDIC had this going for $399.00 - queen size) so I bit the bullet and purchased it with the option of being able to return it if it didn't measure up. So, it came secured in 3 separate boxes. The original, another around that one, and then an Amazon shipping box. No damage or issues with delivery. It arrived 2 days after ordering it (Prime). Opening and unwrapping went well with no issues and the mattress topper was without any discrepancies (tears, stains, etc.). No odor whatsoever. I have been around new memory foam before, and this topper had no strong smell at all. I still gave it time to expand and air out (it comes wrapped / rolled up). After a few hours, I put it on the bed. My current mattress is a bit thicker than normal (plush hybrid) so I use deep pocket sheets. I wasn't sure if the additional 3 inches of memory foam would be an issue with size and fit of the sheets. While it is a bit tight, everything still fit and the sheets stayed down / didn't roll up at night. I gave this product 4 stars out of 5 because this topper still sleeps a bit hot (if I could give it 4.5 I would). Not piping hot, or where you're drenched in sweat hot, but a bit warm. That is a better description. Not hot, but warm. I normally run hot anyway, so this was a concern for me, but the pain in my back takes precedence over that so I gave it a shot. I'm very glad I did. I wouldn't say this took ALL the pain in my back away, but getting up in the morning is about 85% easier and with less issues / pain than before. So that to me is a major plus and solidifies this as a good buy. If they had a product like this that kept cool or did not generate any heat at all, I would give it 5 stars no problem. I would recommend this product to others who are looking to relieve whatever pain (neck, back, hip, etc.) they may have while sleeping or those just looking to refresh their current mattress with a updated fit / feel. *** UPDATE 1/22/2019 *** So, I've slept on this topper the past year and can honestly say that this has helped lessen the pain and discomfort I experienced every single morning prior to making this purchase. I have also changed my rating of 4 stars to 5 as the topper does not sleep as warm as it initially did in the beginning. I'm not sure if that is from my body getting used to the topper and regulating my internal temperature, the topper airing out after a few weeks of use and better circulation getting through the material, or a little bit of both. Either way, I actually look forward to going to bed each night and enjoying a comfortable nights rest. I would continue to recommend this product with the same endorsement I provided above.

Comfortable and doesn't shift around
Awesome comfort. Easy to put on the bed and it looks like it will stay in place. It is very thick and has added a lot to the comfort of a Tempur-pedic bed. It bends easily with an adjustable frame, which is important. Have not washed it yet or tested it's resistance to water but it appears to be very well made. Much better quality than big box store mattress toppers.

Excellect mattress topper but...
Background: My talalay mattress had become really uncomfortable. To the point that sleeping on the couch was better. So I decided to advantage of the July Fourth Mattress Sales and get a new mattress. After some YouTube reviews, I went to local mattress store that had some solid deals with the intention of only buying a Tempur-Pedic Breeze Hybrid. After explaining my needs, issues and aches I ended up testing 6 different mattresses. The two mattresses I ended up deciding on was the Aireloom Cardiff Luxury Firm mattress & the Tempur Breeze, both roughly $4500. In the end I was convinced to not purchase the Tempur-Pedic Breeze Hybrid and go with the Aireloom Medium Firm for 50% off & an adjustable base. I'm a bigger guy and was told that this type would suit me better and having slept on a similar mattress at friend's house, it seemed like a good idea. So I took the deal. I figured it would be a bit of an adjustment to go from a pure talalay/memory foam mattress to a hybrid mattress so I was expecting an adjustment period. After two weeks, I didn't have anymore neck issues or arm numbness and it was much easier to get out of the actual bed however I started to wake up with horrible hip pain which was a totally new thing. At this point, I'm stuck with the Aireloom mattress due to the deep discount I did not get 100 day trial. So I decided to look at into mattress toppers. This is how I ended up back at Tempur Pedic. The Topper: First off, I was nervous about this purchase due to the amount of toppers people received that arrived damaged or with torn covers etc. However 50% price drop I went ahead & took the risk. Thankfully when I unboxed it, mine had arrived in perfect condition. The topper itself on this firm of a mattress is a perfect match. It amazingly provides the softness needed to reduce the hip issues and provided comfortable support that was not squishy in the least and restful sleeping experience. Contrary to what I assumed would happen, it did not completely flatten. The first night/morning after using the topper I literally didnโt get out of bed until noon, it was that comfortable. The Issue: The one thing with this topper that I canโt figure out how to remedy is slippage. My new base is an adjustable base so when Iโve adjusted to watch a movie, read a book or work using my โbed deskโ from home, the topper moves. It moves more way easily than I thought it could considering the fact that itโs underneath a very tight mattress protector and it is quite heavy. Dependent on which side of the bed in get on, it pulls that direction. The topper's cover base has โno slip traction' which is clearly not enough to keep the topper from sliding. Itโs has become a pain to constantly have it sliding off the edge but the comfort outweighs that bit if of frustration. Looking for remedies and will update if I find one. TLDR: Great topper but only at the reduced price. Wish I had just purchased the Tempur-Pedic Breeze Hybrid mattress and forgone the topper altogether. However, the topper has a created such a different feel with the Aireloom mattress that I have no idea if this combination just happened to be complimentary or if the Breeze Hybrid would actually be any better.

5 Star Mattress Topper from Tempur, an excellent night's sleep each night.
UPDATE: 02/13/2021 I've had this Tempur 3" mattress topper for a little over three years now and even though it's slept on nightly (and I think sometimes during the day when I'm out my dog jumps up for a nap! LOL) it still looks and feels brand new. I totally recommend it! ___________________________ ORIGINAL REVIEW: FEB 2018 I ordered this in late November 2017, and received it shortly thereafter, but instead of leaving a review for it right away based on my initial impression, I decided to give it some time - sleep on it, so to speak. LOL And wow does it sleep good! My initial impression was 5 stars from the moment I pulled it from its box, and nothing has changed for me to reduce that. While I would love to be able to afford the full TempurPedic mattress, they're just not in my budget, so when I saw this topper was available from the same company, it seemed like a safe bet that it was going to be the quality I'd expect but at a more attractive price. It is being used as a topper for a relatively new mattress that is still in fine shape (no sagging, etc) - one of the "S" brands, though I don't recall which, off-hand. Tempur didn't skimp like some of the less-expensive topper brands available; it is a full and dense 3", and meets all corners of my full size mattress underneath, giving the bed clean lines when made. It doesn't bunch up during sleep (like the cheaper store-bought "memory foam" topper it replaced), and it fully returns to its original smooth flat surface within seconds of removing weight. The cover is very nice, and washes easily, but is slightly challenging for one person to put back on only due to size and weight of actual topper pad; it takes a minute to slide it on like a pillowcase, just needing to go a little at a time from each side until its all the way back on. But the best part is how it sleeps... and how I sleep because of it. Exactly as expected, upon laying on it, it slowly starts to mold itself to me until there are no discernible pressure points - and that's the beauty of *real* memory foam, which is what to expect from Tempur. Often times, I wake up in the morning in the exact same place and position I laid down in the night before, meaning I slept the whole night through without shifting around trying to relieve uncomfortable pressure points, and well, because there aren't any. As for its sleeping temperature, it doesn't seem to 'heat up', or extract body heat, for that matter, and I use it in a non air-conditioned house in the Caribbean. It took a few nights to get used to it at first, mostly because I was so used to being uncomfortable during sleep prior to it that it felt weird to actually be comfortable. Now, each morning, I wake up feeling like I actually slept. And that's a really nice feeling. Not trying to start any trouble, but I've read through most of the reviews here, and my guess would be that at least some of the poorer reviews are from those who are either trying to rejuvenate an already saggy, worn out mattress, or are just not familiar with the technology behind this type of pad. Putting this pad on an already sagging mattress is only going to accentuate the sag even more as the pad conforms to the body - it'll feel like sinking into a pit. It's going to need a stable and uniform underlying surface. And as for the technology that makes this type of memory foam desirable and unique, that absorbing/conforming to the body is exactly what it's supposed to do; that's the whole 'relieving pressure points' from earlier. It's not quite a weightless feeling, just a feeling like there are no specific spots on the body that feel uncomfortably digging in - it's complete full-body support because it molds itself to the body. For the moment, at three months in, I'm very pleased with this Tempur pad, and do expect that to continue throughout its 10 year warranty period. If anything changes regarding quality or comfort, I will update my review accordingly.

Not for a heavy person
Squish squish. You'd have to be 100 pounds to consider this Tempurpedic topper to be medium firm. I bought the 3" hoping it would help my sagging mattress. NOPE! It's like being stuck in quicksand. Every movement sucks you in deeper. After countless hours reading mattress articles and watching videos, I decided to try latex instead. For about the same money, I ordered a 3" medium firm latex topper to put on top of my mattress and it's really helped. I am a 230 lb side sleeper with sciatica. It's almost like sleeping on a new bed. I also put an old (fairly thin) bed pillow between my mattress and box spring and that's also helped with the sag where my butt normally rests lol. Do yourself a favor and read up on latex toppers/mattresses. I am convinced that I will never again buy anything other than latex to sleep on. It's longer lasting and more comfortable than any kind of foam. Sleep Essentials and Ken Hightower both have very good YouTube videos for ppl who are thinking about DIY mattresses and latex. I've had a latex topper on top of my 5 yr old sagging Sealy Posturpedic for a few days now and it's worked pretty well, but I think long term I'm going to do mattress surgery. The only thing that is going to fix a sag permanently is to start with a level playing field, so I'll probably rip the top off my mattress, tear out the disintegrated gel and memory foam top layers, and put my latex topper directly on top of my innerspring/coils. I may need to buy another 3" firm latex topper for the support layer, so that I would have springs then 3" firm Dunlop latex topper then 3" medium latex topper then mattress cover. Hopefully I can just get away with the 3" medium on coils but I am doubtful that will be enough comfort because of my weight. We'll see. No one is paying me to review. I don't usually write reviews unless I feel strongly about something. I just hope this helps someone else!

Tempurpedic reels me back in...
I bought a $3500 Tempurpedic "Cloud Supreme" mattress about 6 years ago when I was having serious hip pain. The relief it brought was miraculous. But, after roughly two years, that same mattress began to sag in a most unpleasant way. Sleeping in the deep "canyons" created by the foam giving way made my sleeping hellish - or more accurately - way too hot. Now I have more arthritis in my hips and my shoulders and found myself with a problem. I detested sleeping on the mattress and wanted a new one, but the thought of an innerspring mattress' springs pushing back up on my pain points was too much to bear. And there was no way I was ever going to spend $3500. on another Tempurpedic that would probably last me only another two years. So I suffered and frankly, was too anxious to try anything else - even the new hybrids - part foam & gel, part springs. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and decided to buy a mattress from an online company that really will take back a mattress that doesn't work out - they don't have a business without that perk. I ordered one with a Euro pillow top because I like a softer bed. I would classify the mattress as a "light hybrid." Turned out that what the mattress manufacturer considered "soft" and I considered "soft" were about as far apart as can be. But, I decided that since I had a few months to try it out, I would try some "topper-like" modifications. I tried a few things we have around the house and got close, but nothing quite worked out. Despite my "falling out" with all things Tempurpedic, I could still recall how miraculous the mattress was the first two years I owned it - it MILDLY conformed to my body then (no disappearing halfway into it). The sleeping was excellent and without pain. There really IS something to the idea that metal springs can and do push pressure back up into parts of your body and causing pain. So, I decided to give this topper a try - $300 definitely is more affordable than $3500. The topper brought me back to the feeling that I was sort of "skimming" the bed. The arthritis pain was disappearing. I've never cared for the "conforming" feeling of any Tempurpedic product. Also, truthfully, I LOATHE the absolute flatness of the top of Tempurpedic products. Perhaps I am too "old school," but I like a layer of soft and pillowy next to my body. Tempurpedic never worked for me in that way. At that point, with my pain gone with the new mattress and the TempTopper, it occured to me that I could try a topper on top of the 3" Tempurpedic topper (for the record, "toppers" of any kind DO NOT work well with a Tempurpedic mattress - especially if you have pain). So I spent hours reading here on Amazon looking for the right pillowy softness for my topper's topper! I needed the right height, the right fabric and a texture on top that showed and felt "pillowy" through my sheets. I had left that absolutely flat Tempurpedic mattress top in the past - along with it's ridiculously sinking hot hole. Luckily, I found the right topper to suit my sleep needs. So I feel great. The new mattress I bought cost less than half of the disastrous $3500 Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme. The Tempurpedic 3" topper ($300) took care of the pain caused by "springs pushing into my hips and shoulders." The "pillow topper" was less than $100 and takes care of making my sleeping experience comfortable and plush. The best part? As I see it, the only thing that <may> go wrong with this new "configuration" is the Tempurpedic topper perhaps getting a little too soft years down the road. It's only 3 inches high. How much could I really sink? And if I do eventually, I can live much easier replacing a $300 piece of foam than a $3500. mattress for the exact same amount of pain relief. I am a HAPPY CAMPER!

Fantastic
This mattress pad is simply amazing. My boyfriend and I are rather tall people and found our queen size tempur-pedic bed was just not accommodating our size. Iโm 6ft and 150 pounds and he is 6โ7โ. We bought a memory foam king size bed since we could not afford another tempur-pedic king size bed. Within the first week I was experiencing horrible lower back pain and uncomfortable pressure points when I laid on my side. I bought this to help with the discomfort to put on our king bed. Side note, many years ago I bought this pad in a twin size for my uncomfortable dorm room bed. I slept like a baby, so I knew the expense would be worth it. I have been sleeping through the night which is amazing for me. Back pain and pressure points are gone. My boyfriend sleeps better too and his snoring has even improved! For those who say the pad is too hard or soft, id say it initially can feel firm (especially if your room is cold), tempur-pedic foam hardens and stiffens in the cold. However, once you lay in it and break it in, itโs quite soft but still provides support. If you are looking for a more firm mattress pad, this pad isnโt for you. You tend to sink into tempur-pedic foam. I personally like that feeling because it allowse to stay in one position. I tend to toss and turn a lot. Also, if you have trouble getting out of foam beds, this will make it even more difficult. But as I said, fantastic pad and well worth price tag.

Comfortable but Purchase at Your Own Risk
After taking in delivery of this item, I no longer believe that "you get what you pay for". Cheap doesn't always mean bad, and expensive doesn't always mean better. Tempurpedic charges outrageous prices despite cheaper competition because they can. Most name brand anything can charge what they want because they know the name alone is enough to sell their product. And while I don't know where Tempurpedic chooses to invest its profits, the one place they're clearly not focusing on is quality control. I had been looking to upgrade my comfortable, but old 2" memory foam topper. I decided I wanted to try a 3" topper instead because I felt like I sank right down to the mattress with 2". After reading countless reviews and comparing prices I decided to bite the bullet and try this one out. I have a super firm hybrid mattress that I love but it's just a bit too firm for me. I'm partial to memory foam toppers as long as they're high density; I hate foam that's too soft and feels like quicksand. When I received it the box was a little banged up, but not too bad. The mattress topper comes compressed and rolled up in plastic wrap. Upon removing the wrap, the topper immediately expands to its normal size. The cover comes pre-installed but I recommend removing it right away for two reasons: 1) it absorbed the off-gassing odor from the foam so it's worth washing right away (the off-gassing isn't the worst I've smelled, but it's definitely there) and 2) to check for defects in the foam. Honestly removing the cover is the only way to do a thorough inspection. As you can see from my photos, mine arrived with a significant tear. Right on the edge, and large enough to put my entire arm through. This tear was located right at the top of the topper and I would not have seen it without removing the cover. It arrived in this exact condition, and I was honestly shocked. There's no way this tear occurred in transit as all the packaging was intact. It MUST have occurred wherever these are packaged, and I wonder if they have a quality control department to inspect products prior to packaging them up. It's obvious from reading other reviews here that people have been receiving damaged products, whether it's the foam itself or the cover. It actually makes me seriously question whether Tempurpedic truly cares about quality, or if they're more focused on quantity. As for how comfortable it is, this is going to be very subjective. It's definitely a medium-firm as advertised, and I think it's extremely comfortable. However, my husband does not like it. We both like firmer sleeping surfaces so the reason I think I like it and he doesn't has to do with our body size. I'm a heavier person, and he's tall and skinny. Because I'm much bigger, I don't get completely sucked into the topper. I find it to be very supportive actually. But being a thinner person, it takes longer for him to sink and he sinks in too much. He finds it more difficult to get up out of it compared to me. We are actually considering cutting this topper in half so that I can have the Tempurpedic side and he can have the old topper we were using. I mean, the gigantic tear begins at the halfway mark so it's almost like the work is done for us. Thanks, I guess? Anyway if you decide to purchase this on Amazon, make sure that Amazon is the actual retailer and not a third party. That way if yours arrives damaged and you need to return it, they can arrange for a "large item" courier to pick it up since there's no getting it back in the box once it's opened. It's a great topper, but just make sure you're ready to deal with the hassle if it doesn't arrive in perfect condition. At this price point I expected quality, and what I received was damaged garbage.
