ECCOMen's Turn GTX Plain Toe Oxford

This is the second pair of these shoes I've purchased in the last 10 years. The first pair lasted nearly a decade. I took them everywhere around the world. They look great and are waterproof, meaning I can wear them in any kind of weather. Moreover, they're quite comfortable. I can wear them all day for walking around cities or country, and they're just as comfortable at the end of the day and they were at the start. Plenty of toe room make them particularly easy to walk in and move about. And the styling works with jeans or even dress casual. The soles are particularly durable as is the upper leather--after ten years, the shoes still look just fine. Even the laces lasted a decade. I actually bought this new pair with some reluctance since I wasn't sure I was ready to let go of these remarkable shoes. But I had to admit, the rear portion of the heals had finally worn down enough that I noticed the slight difference in my gait. But it was very slight. So I opted for a new pair and I'm every bit as delighted with these. These Eccos, quite simply, the best shoes I've ever owned. If I have any criticism at all it's that I prefer a slightly narrower look. These shoes, as comfortable and durable as they are, are a bit large and clunky looking. I like a more tapered, slender look. But then, they might not fit as well as these, I suppose. A note on size: I normally wear 10.5 medium in American size and the 44s work fine for me.

These are my second pair of Ecco GTX turn shoes. After discovering Ecco shoes, I am now a loyal customer to the brand. They are very high quality as I have never had one "fail". I have had soles split and seams rip on other brands, but my Ecco shoes have been very robust after years of use. These are my daily work shoes and go great with almost any business casual dress. I work in an office/manufacturing environment requiring a significant amount of walking on concrete floors on some days. My feet have never had any issues with comfort in any of my Ecco shoes, these included. I am very happy that Ecco incorporated Gore-Tex waterproofing into these. It is hard to find a pair of shoes with Gore-Tex that does not make you look like you should be on the Appalachian Trail instead of inside the office. I wear ordinary Gold Toe socks and never had a problem with the Gore-Tex keeping in moisture (sweat) so I would say there is no downside to the GTX feature. They clean up easily if they get muddy, but generally look quite clean always unless you are walking around a construction site. The arch support is fine for my feet with a higher than average arch. I have never felt the need to replace the standard inserts. This black pair has been getting three or four days of use weekly for about 6 months. I expect them to last at least three years without showing any major wear and hope Ecco keeps making this model.

These are, really, the perfect men's travel shoe. They fit comfortably right out of the box, no break in necessary. I wore them for the first time on a 33 hour series of flights that included 8 hours of tramping around Sydney, sightseeing, and they were perfect.I've worn them hiking and to nice dinners and to everything in-between. Lighten your load and bring this one shoe that does it all.Note, I always use Superfeet insoles, which you should too, as the insole for this shoe (and pretty much all shoes) is a joke. Do your feet a favor and get a pair of those, too.I got the size up from my normal size and the superfeet helped take up the extra room, but I maybe could have fit in my normal size. I recommend getting your regular size, and then the next one up and return the one that doesn't fit. Remember to try them on with the superfeet.Seriously, go get these shoes!

These shoes look great and fit perfectly. They are probably my 10th pair of ecco shoes. To my surprise, after one day of wearing them to work, the adhesive between the body of the shoe and the sole starting giving way. Never had that issue with an ecco before. Very disappointing considering how much I liked them, but will have to return them for a refund.

Heed the warnings: Width is narrow. This shoe would be five stars if it fit like the Ecco Track II. I have size 43 in both styles. The length is good. There is about a thumbs width from the big toe to the front of the shoe, but the width is way too tight. I've been wearing this shoe around the house trying to stretch them but they still feel uncomfortable. I can only wear them for about one hour and then the pain starts to kick in. If you buy this shoe, you might want to order one size up, but not sure if that would be enough. You might consider a shoe stretching device or bringing them to a cobbler to stretch the leather. Great shoes overall, just a possible design flaw.

Love the shoe. It was the only shoe I took with me on a recent trip to England. It was perfect for hiking and could pass for something a little dressy if need be. It feels comfortable, breathes well, And above all waterproof. I will probably buy a brown pair now. I have other ECCO shoes and the advice to buy a little larger than usual is correct for this shoe.

I bought the larger 11 and then returned for the 10, because the length of 11 was closer to 12. nonetheless, the shoe was too narrow when I got the right length, its very stiff, and It just feels like it won't soften up. I like my other ecco shoes, so I figured this would be designed similar.

This is my 3rd pair of ECCO's and I love them. They have to be, by far, the longest lasting shoes I've ever owned. My 1st pair is over 4 years old and the soul is still in good condition. FYI; I wear them at work 5 days a week.

Buyer beware got these and came up really small, checked box and sizes were US sizes, which are generally a size or so smaller. Shoes did look good though but a larger size was double the price so returned them.

Unfortunately had to return as I struggled to get my foot in.

Extremely comfortable shoes, but a bit snug. Having read this about Ecco shoes, I went a half size up and they’re still a bit small for my feet.

Le scarpe sono belle, di una finitura direi raffinata. Non è una novità, anche le due paia di scarpe Ecco da me precedentemente acquistate sono state per me di grande soddisfazione. In questo specifico acquisto, stranamente, la misura 44, che io compro di solito perchè mi permette anche l'uso di una soletta in memory foam, era molto stretta, al punto di doverle restituire. Pazienza, nessuno è perfetto, le prossime saranno ottime come al solito.

I wear a lot of Ecco shoes so the sizing should not have come as a surprise. The shoes are supposed to be a size 46 (euro) but in reality they fit more like a 45 at most. Other than that, the shoes are well build, and if they fit properly, would be comfortable.
