PCI-e 1X/4X Card to NGFF M.2 M Key PCIe Slot Adapter

Put these in a Bios mother board and they worked just fine hooking up graphics cards to them. I got rid of that mother board and got a different (MSI) one and they would not work so I set them on the shelf for later use just got another Gigabyte motherboard plug them and and they work just find they seem to be very tempermental

Shorted out whole system and actually went out in smoke first time plugging it into motherboard.. took out components connected to it....

THIS freaking m.2 to PCIE adapter just fried my $500 GTX 1070 Ti. seriously, for the mother of God and your hardware, stay stay stay away. i'm beyond pissed.i literally smelled smoke and saw sparks flying out of my motherboard. immediately pulled the plug.
