Build Strength and Stamina All Over With These Full Body Resistance Training Sessions!TOTAL BODY (31 Minutes): All you need for this compact, full body session is one heavy and one light set of dumbbells (2-25 lbs, depending on level), and a mat.TOTAL BODY (48 Minutes): All you need for this more in depth, full body session is one heavy and one light set of dumbbells (2-25 lbs, depending on level), a mat (the optional use of a sturdy chair and a step (2-4 risers) can be included if desired for some of the exercises).BONUS: TOTAL BODY BAND (28 Minutes): Resistance bands are a fantastic tool to help you mix up your strength training while still challenging your muscles, and this routine makes a great option if you don't have access to dumbbells or are short on time. Grab your band (I’m using tubing with handles, but any long flat or tube style band can work) for this efficient, travel-friendly full body session. Please remember to listen to your body throughout the workouts, and make the moves work best for you! You can adjust the intensity of your workout by increasing your weights for more challenge, or tone it down by using lighter weights and less reps. Approx. Total Run Time: 107 MinutesINTENSITY: Moderate (using heavier weight can increase intensity/effort level)FLOOR WORK: YesEQUIPMENT NEEDED: One heavy and one light set of dumbbells [2-25 lbs, depending on level] a mat. The optional use of a sturdy chair and a step can be used in the second session. The bonus routine requires a resistance band (we suggest a long, medium strength flat band or tubing with handles).

Great workout, easy to follow. Highly recommend this dvd. And as an added bonus, do not have to go to a gym. So convenient. Highly recommend this dvd.

Great Workout DVD!
I have a few of Jessica Smith's workout DVDs, and this one is up there with the rest of them. A great workout.

Weight lifting that is smart and works
I've used Jessica Smith videos for awhile but lately want to do more weight routines. These make me feel like I've USED my muscles in a good way. Reminds me of how I would feel after a ballet class in my youth almost: like the muscles have some tingling not painful but worked. I need to keep the sound on and follow instructions for these. I have also increased my weights some.

Great tempo and nice variety!
The workouts are well designed and have a good flow from one exercise to the next, without being rushed. You will work on balance, stability and strength for whatever workout is chosen. Today I did the 48 minute Total Body, which had every component and worked all muscle groups with even a nice short stretch at the end. There are a number of modifications suggested or shown which make this workout accessible to most. I like to play with tools so enjoyed that a band workout is included when you want to work muscles in a different way. I also appreciate that there was a shorter 31 minute Total Body workout, for when you're pressed for time. Beautiful, bright set with some great outdoor scenery, and loved seeing the cute Peanut pillow on the chair, too! Very enjoyable workouts with some great music to keep you motivated, also! I will use these frequently, as Jessica is a great instructor and the workouts offer physical challenge, as well as a great sense of accomplishment and feel good mood!

Better if Included Muscle Groups Being Worked
Jessica has good form and is a good communicator; however, this DVD just didn't work for me.I returned this DVD because I wanted to know explicitly what muscle groups we were focusing on. With the exception of less than a handful of exercises, she did not include that. Instead of just telling us how to get into position, I would have liked to hear more of Jessica's knowledge of the human body and its muscles and WHY we were doing what we were doing more frequently. Personally, when I know what muscle group I'm working on and why it matters, that is, how strengthening it can improve my daily activities, I would have found it more motivating and educational. That's just me and I realize many wouldn't really care. She also doesn't count down which I would have preferred. A few times, she just went 4,3,2,1 or close to that at the end. But if I recall correctly, she doesn't say, "we're going to do 2 sets of 10 now" so you know what's ahead. I could be wrong, but it just seemed like you had to be glued to watching what she was doing rather than giving you the heads up so you know your count. You can't always be looking at the screen after all!I didn't care for for some of the music either. It's hard to please everyone when it comes to music! On the positive side:1). I DID like that you can focus on her and not be distracted by a group of others working out with her.2). The indoor setting with large windows and wood floors is very attractive, uncluttered and easy on the eyes.I am in the processing of reviewing another one of Jessica's DVDs.Also, unless you're okay with only getting a 50% refund, be sure you want it. I wasn't aware of this until I made my return. Perhaps if it is defective, you get a full refund, but I just didn't like it.

This is a GREAT DVD.
What I like most about this DVD from others is that she does not spend time on explanations and greetings. The video gets right into the routine! And it is a GREAT video for the “older” people without being geriatic. Music is soft in the background and easy going exercises to build body control and strength. LOVE IT I purchased both of her DVD’s
