APDTY 1355A124 Radiator Fan Control Controller Module *Read Description*

Product has been updated / redesigned by the manufacturer (Mazda). They were recalled back in 2007. These "older" units do not work or do not last long-term. Last one I bought lasted a year. This one was bad out-of-the-box. Had to buy the redesigned part from a Mazda dealer at a hefty premium - car works great now!

We put this in June of 2015. Installation was easy, took about half an hour due to difficulty reaching some hardware holding the old one and it has been working perfectly. Would have cost so much more had we gone to the dealer to replace. Neither hubby nor I are mechanics but we like to repair things ourselves to save money for more fun things so we tackle these minor repairs ourselves if we find out on the internet they are easy to do.

Sometimes you get what you pay for... mine died in a week.

So far its ok but my fans now turn on and off sometimes maybe i got a fan going out even though its not heating up

So far so good. For the price, as long as it holds up even a couple of years, it will have been worth it. Install was easy, exactly as the OEM product, and the fans ran perfect from the get go. Solved the overheating and poor A/C problem we had.

APDTY 1355A124 Radiator Cooling Fan Control...purchased along with new cooling fans, lasted about 10 months. Had to buy another brand to replace, system works great again. Expected better product for the price. Who knows? Maybe have to buy a third brand, in 10 more months. Maybe cooling fans too. Maybe spend a little more, and be sure to get one that will last. Something about a green dot? No reason these should fail, with proper cooling fans. At least it got me by for 10 months. Be sure to get one with a 12 month guarantee from the maker!

I admit not checking to see if the fans on my MPV are drawing more than the maximum 15 amps. The service manual says to check the current draw and it should be between 12 and 15 amps. This part was relatively inexpensive so I just slapped it in and hoped for the best. Well it lasted less than two hours. Seems like the part should be over specified but apparently it is not. My fans are not making any abnormal noise like the bearings are going bad. I may go ahead and measure the current draw. I'll check back in and let everyone know how this turns out.
