Missouri Meerschaum - Country Gentleman Corn Cob Tobacco Pipe - Straight Bit

I pair my cobs with Forever Stems and collars from Vermont Freehand. My latest Country Gentleman got this Amber Orange mouthpiece with a 925 silver collar. Of course, this means the cob itself is the cheapest part of the setup, but that's ok by me, for the style is unmatched. I have several nice briar pipes as well, but I always find myself reaching for my cobs.

Corn cob puppies are amazing for smoking tobacco. Pipe tobacco is a relaxing hobby and not nearly as addictive as other forms of consuming tobacco. That’s just my opinion but if you (as an adult who makes your own informed decisions) decide to smoke I recommend Missouri meerschaum corn cob pipes

The overall presentation is nice. The stem fits well into the stummel. There is a replaceable paper filter included in the stem. The bowl is clearly corn, but the shank, to my dissatisfaction, is wood that is painted to look like corn. Additionally, the shank extends into the chamber in a manner that seems poorly designed/careless/sloppy. It seems that it would interfere with even burn/air flow, and looks unfinished. The plastic used in the stem is rather soft and has sharp edges where it was manufactured.Overall the stummel seems good quality, durable, and hefty. The stem seems cheap and uncomfortable. I would request that the manufacturer try making a wooden stem for the sake of strength and quality.

I ordered a bent stem Country Gentleman as well as this straight one. Unfortunately, I recieved two bent ones. They are very nice pipes, as all Missouri Meerschaum pipes are, but I would have preferred to have one of each. Fortunately, Amazon took care of the problem.I have many Missouri Meerschaum pipes and they are definitely my favorite. Where else are you going to get a pipe that smokes this well for less than the price of an average restaurant meal, sometimes even cheaper than a pouch of tobacco? I often recommend and gift them to friends, since they're inexpensive and great pipes for beginner to expert pipe smokers.

It’s a nice pipe and smokes well, but the stem is too tight and I’m concerned about it breaking when removed. This, apparently, happened to others.

I’ve had all kinds of pipes down thru the years.This is by far the best pipe I have ever owned.Smokes cool, tastes great.

Just bought this pipe and tried some Capstan flake in it. Gotta say, it smokes real smooth and has a nice feel to it. It’s an awesome price point which means I can probably just buy one for each type of tobacco. Super impressed!
