Excellent LED candle set, these are just what I was looking for. The flickering light is warm and authentic enough while being safe around pets and kids. I can have the look of candles at any time, without changing batteries, or worrying about soot, heat, or burns. I am a candle lover, but also a nomad and I move every few years. Each time I move I loathe packing fragile votive holders, but I love the look so much I decided to upgrade to LED candles (hoping that maybe I can break my candle habit a little). These rechargeable LED candles are *perfect* for me, and I already want a second set. I unwrapped and plugged them in the moment I received this set, and I labeled the USB cord. The red light does not indicate charging, it only shows that the white charging base is receiving power from the USB cable. I like that the candles can be turned on and returned to the base; in this case they remain on and flickering for hours and hours! When turned on and disconnected from the base, the candles last over eight hours. After about eight hours they become dim, but the transition is so gradual as they lose power that I don't really notice. I hope that I can find similar faux-frosted-glass holders though! These LEDs look fantastic in their included holders. However I really dislike how they look in my other votive holders, the tall white just doesn't look good in clear glass, or colored glass, or brass. Now I am searching for the perfect frosted glass votive holders, and I hope that I find a good match for these LED candles. TLDR: I love the look, but there is room for improvement. I would still buy these again in an instant.

These tea lights are perfect to create the ambience of a flickering flame. I'm very happy with them. I bought the set of 12 that came with the charger base, charger cable, and 12 frosted cups, but without the remote control. The charger cable is a USB but does not come with an adapter for an electrical outlet, so you have to provide that yourself (or plug it into something that charges USB devices). The one thing to be aware of is that if your attention is focused on the lights, it is very obvious that the flicker effect is artificial and a little strobe-ish as it switches from one brightness to the next. I see some reviews complaining a lot about this, but for me, as soon as I'm not actively and directly watching the lights, but instead have them around or in the background, my brain instantly perceives them as actual flames. So much so that several times I have started to reach for something over the top of the tea lights and I instinctively snatched my hand back so as not to burn my hand before remembering they are electronic. As pointed out elsewhere, the charger light does not go out when they are fully charged, so you can't really tell when they have a full charge. But I just leave them plugged in all day or overnight and assume it's good. Once they are charged, I am very impressed with how long they hold it. Over the Winter here it gets dark around 4 PM. There have been several times where I turned the lights on at dusk, left them on overnight, and at 7 AM the next morning they still have some faint flickering life left in them (when the charge starts to run out they start getting dimmer).

Let me start on expressing the great convenience of having rechargeable candles. We have a metal bridge decor that requires tea light candles. It can be costly when you repurchase candles or batteries. The life span of the batteries arent too long when your using them on a center piece that requires candles. The frosted covers give them a very unique look. So with all the great reviews your wondering why not give the product 5 stars?? They failed on a vital piece of design that can be dangerous. Lithium batteries, if left charging too long can blow up and cause damage. They failed to design a green light on the charger to notify "Charging Completed". Instead they rely on you to monitor the charge and estimate an 8 to 9 hour charge. This can be dangerous if you are preoccupied on other things and forget. A shut off design when the charging is completed along with a light that turns from red to green wouldve been the ideal design. I suggest all to be careful and make sure you set an alarm to remind you. The one i purchase has a red light that remains red after the candles are fully charged. I experienced a lithium battery blow up on a shelf with integrated LED lights that burned my wall because it was over charged.

I accidentally got two sets of these, because the Amazon page did not update / refreshing properly, and I did not do a final review carefully enough. (I.e., not the seller's fault.) But I am glad it happened. I am so happy with these that I would have ordered a second set. Our house now has enough safe lights to use at Deepawali and at Christmas. (Mixed household here.) The lights all worked. The USB charger is a brilliant, convenient idea. The built-in batteries are powerful and long lasting. I got over 18 hours of strong illumination, which is more than I need. For me the fact that these do NOT have multi-color function and aa remote control is a plus. Fewer things to break and go wrong. Flicking the on-off switch is not a problem.

I have ordered these in the past, about 2-3 years ago. The ones I received back then worked great, flickering light was very nice to look at and they were easy to charge. The ones I recently ordered were noticeably worse in terms of quality, it makes me wonder if they shifted production or something. First, the lights I received do not flicker. It's not the biggest thing in the world, but it's not what the description says and not what I expected. Second, the bottom of the candle that is screwed on with three mini screws is not properly fitted so the candles don't fit flush in the holder/charger. Third, because the bottom of the candle is not fitted properly, the switch does not stick out and you need a paper clip or something to turn on/off many of them. The ones I purchased a few years ago did not have any of these issues. I was able to remedy these problems for the most part by using a tiny screwdriver to to loosen/tighten the screws to get the bottom to sit better. At the end of the day they still look nice, and otherwise work fine...but quality control could be better.

This was a gift and the first thing they noticed was that they were rechargeable and were like, [they make rechargeable ones?!]. If you like tea lights but dislike the notion of stocking up on flat batteries and are hesitant about leaving your tea lights on for more than a meal or get together, get these lights! The light is just the same to original battery versions (maybe a little deeper in color) but overall, the same. Recharging is easy and painless, the light on the charger does not go off, unless unplugged, so it's always on but the connection ports are child safe and one cannot be electrified (unless you're trying really hard to) by the base recharge unit. The diffuser for the lights are also very nice, covering the direct intensity of the light, so one can use them when watching movies and not be completely distracted by the candle light. I did not get the version with the remote, so I cannot comment on how effective it is.

I was extremely happy to have my new candles to replace my old ones that I brought back in 2015. even though my old ones still have a lot of life but they don't stay on long so I needed fresh ones as I run my own business in the spa industry. I purchased these new ones and just recently decided to set them up. they were packaged nicely but when I went to turn them on I couldn't the little switch was pushed in in fact they are all like that so I had to get a small Flathead screw driver to flick the switch and then I noticed that four of the candles went out before 8 Hrs this was poorly made and the sad part is I went past my return window. I am on the phone with amazon as I am writing this and they are trying to see if there is anything that can be done for me and I love amazon for that GUESS WHAT I can return the Items WOW AMAZON YOU ROCK. Purchased these six months ago and have used daily ever since. The top surface of the main body of the candle has a slight rim and very glossy surface, making it look like melted wax when the candle is on. This combined with the gentle flickering add to the illusion that the candles are real. We live in a log cabin and my husband won't let me burn real candles for fear of a fire - these are an exceptional compromise for us. I recharge them overnight and they last all day - 10 to 12 hours on. It would be nice if they lasted longer, but that would be an added bonus. The other slight question I have about design is that when I plug the recharger unit into the socket a little red light comes on - the light never changes color and was not designed to be an indicator light for level of charge. It would be great in future if they added a charge level indicator light. Again - minor - overall I have been very happy and love these lights!
