I love it! I was looking for a laptop that ...
I've had this laptop for about 2 months now.So to start off. Let me just say this... I love it!I was looking for a laptop that could game, have a nice display for watching Netflix, and do any other thing I wanted. The computer come with a dedicated nvidia graphics card with 2gb of memory and it is great! It plays pretty much anything I throw at it on high. Ex. Borderland 2 will run on maxed out settings at about 40-45 fps and never dropping below 34...that may not seem like much or good... But the human eye can only see a game at 30 fps. So it's pretty good. Smooth, and runs flawlessly. Also the ps3 and Xbox 360 also ran their games at 30 fps all the time at like medium settings.. If that says anything for you. I've also played skyrim and yes it can run it on ultra pretty good and on high flawlessly.Overall as far as gaming goes... If you're looking for a good gaming laptop capable of playing any game on at least medium and not wanting to spend a lot of money... This is for you. I questioned and did ad much research on computers around $600 for a week that could do what I wanted and this one always came out on top. And trust me... I've very picky.. And research everything. So for gaming you're covered. Also I was playing all the games at 1080p on my monitor which requires just a bit more power to make happen. So they ran great. As far as everything else you would wanna do you're covered also. The i5 1.7ghz processor really packs a punch! It's actually pretty powerful though it has a low base clock. It's capable of turbo boosting up to 2.7 Ghz. Which does it automatically when you need it during gaming or other tasks.I can multi task pretty easily. I've had no issues with lag or anything. It performs great. The screen is actually nice for being only 720p! I have no issues with it. Looks great and the sound is amazing! The keyboard is also very nice. I love the Apple feel and look of this laptop. And the track pad is actually pretty nice. I have yet to have a problem though when gaming you'll want to use a mouse... Common sense. It runs quiet also and doesn't get to hot. The hard drive has a 1 to. Hard drive also which leaves you a ton of room for whatever you would like to download and store!Overall this is definitely worth the money. For gaming and everything else you would like to be doing on it the laptop performs and meets the needs of almost any game. The ONLY cons I have are 1. No dvd drive, so you'll have to buy and external. And 2. While gaming battery life isn't so great.. But overall it's pretty true to the 5-7 hour lifespan while tasking. If you're debating and looking for another still... Really consider this one. It runs great and can game well and for only $600 it's a great price! Hope this helps!! Enjoy this notebook!

Great Machine Overall
I was in the market for a lighter machine with decent battery life and a great screen for travel purposes. I considered the M2 MacBook Air which I'm sure is a great device but by the time I configured it, the price was over double the price of this device. While there are a few trade-offs, speakers aren't fabulous, and tap-to-click is better on a Mac trackpad, those trade-offs were acceptable for the savings achieved. The build quality of the Acer 513 is decent so I have no issues there.I actually like the 3:2 screen better than the Mac and this has a touch screen and is a 2-in-1 device with multiple modes. It will also work with a USI stylus all of which the Mac can't do. The weight is in the same category as the Mac and the battery life and performance are great. There are type-c ports on each side for charging from either direction rather than one side on the Mac. There is also a USB-A port and a micro sd slot again two things the Mac doesn't offer.I prefer Chrome OS when traveling as it offers better security and if the machine were to be stolen, a replacement can be set up in minutes. I also like the fact that my data is stored in the cloud as it is more secure than sitting on a machine in a hotel room. A VPN ensures a more secure connection on hotel WiFi. Android Apps and the 3:2 touch screen mean I don't have to carry an iPad and with true windowing on Chrome OS, I prefer it for productivity in terms of multitasking over the iPad anyway. While I could have shaved off a star in my rating for the audio and trackpad the price easily offsets those trade-offs and makes this a heck of a deal. I'm not sorry I decided to go this route. If I needed video editing perhaps it would be different but for what I need this fits the bill perfectly and saves me a bundle of cash. The fact that it has an ARM processor (runs cool) and is fanless (silent) were a couple more selling features. This device is exactly what I was looking for.Edit: After a week of use I'm dropping one star for the poor audio quality. Get out your earbuds as you will need them to listen to anything on this long term. The rest of the machine is great, but the speakers are terrible.
