COSTWAY 12000BTU Portable Air Conditioner, 4-in-1 Oscillation Air Cooler with Cooling/Dehumidifier/Heater/Fan, 3 Speeds Fan for 450 sq.ft, Remote Control, WiFi Smart Control (12000BTU)

I am searching for different ways to cool the house in limited area so I do not have to use central AC too often. I was split between a mini split air conditioner or a portable AC unit. My parents have mini split AC. It works well but it is stationary in 1 room. I decided to go with a portable AC unit so I can move it from room to room as needed. I went with Costway 12000btu portable air conditioner which is in the midlevel price range and the brand also makes different AC units for your needs.The package came damaged on the outside (I contacted the seller through Amazon and they responded right away in less than 24hrs), but with solid protection nothing was damaged to the AC unit. AC is much heavier than I thought. It has 4 caster wheels for effortless movement. Set up is pretty easy and the package comes with everything you need, but I waited 1 day before testing it out as recommended.Operation is easy with the on-board control panel, and remote, or phone app. I only use the control panel and the phone app so far. Phone app is easy to setup and only takes couple minutes. Only thing you cannot control the AC unit with phone app is sleep setting which I find very odd.Once the AC unit is on it gets very cold right away. I use this AC in an 800sq ft area(whole house is 2000sq ft) and this AC is rated for 450sq ft. With outdoor temp in the high 80s F, the AC is able to lower the indoor temperature by 1 degree in less than 30 minutes. The 1 degree does not seem much, but the cold air combines with Vornado air circulator every in the family is comfortable with cooler air. I could have purchased the 14000 btu portable AC unit but I was afraid it would be too big or too heavy to move around.I have used this AC almost everyday for the last several weeks in the late afternoon. Everything is working flawlessly and the noise level is not as loud as expected. The only inconvenience is I have to check the water drainage container everyday before it overflows. 5-star for portable air conditioner.

I really like this 4-in-1 air conditioner. It works like a charm. Shipping packages is good. There are rollers at the bottom of the air conditioner, which is very convenient. The white of air conditioning matches very much with household environment. The dehumidification function is also one of my favorites. I recommended this one.

This unit works very well, the squirrel cage fan can really propel the air too. My area is pretty humid at the moment so the AC cooling is making 3 gallons of water per day in condensation. I had to install an external condensation pump to keep up. But it is doing its job!

This portable air conditioner built with 4-in 1 functions, cooling, heater, humidifier and fan. We are feel that we could be comfortable for the whole year to have this machine. We try it as a heater lately, it warm our room fast,and can’t wait to use it others functions. Recommend!

Easy to setup and use. Quiet enough though that depends on fan speed. But overall it's a very good unit!

I really investigated portable air conditioners and was excited for this one. Great BTU's and price was right. Then there was a delay in shipping :( and when it did arrive, not an air conditioner! I received a tall jewelry box with lights and mirror. Needless to say less than satisfied. Here's the crazy part...I ordered it again. (it's really the one I want!), so we'll see how this goes.

So far I only used the AC, but looking forward to using the heat as well. I like how fins can move up and down or fixed positions. Very affordable and works great

The air conditioner was damaged, appeared used and the wheels are broken.

I have used costway for about two years, I am very satisfied with the quality, packaging, and customer service they have so far, this one wasn't a suprise and It works very nicely. I think it's a stylish portable AC that you can leave it in your living room, the remote and cellphone apps provide you lots of comfort and you can control everything from there. The cooler can easily bring the winter in summer at your home, I've used one for about 450sqft. Overall, it's a stylish, powerful and very portable AC.

Well, this is a bit of a saga. I researched so many air conditioners. I looked at area covered, BTU, portability and reviews, and the cost. This air conditioners met all reasonable markers. The air conditioner itself works well. I always set it to 70 degrees, a comfortable range, and it makes my livingroom and kitchen, which is around 350 sq feet comfortable. It didn't really have instructions on how to install it, but I just found some tutorials on Youtube. This is my first air conditioner and I have nothing to compare it to, but I feel it works well, and I'm happy.The trouble I DID have was with delivery. The courior company kept sending messages that they tried to deliver my package (4 times), but were not successful. I WAS HOME EACH TIME as I just had medical treatment and was not going anywhere. I contacted Amazon, Costway and Fedex three times each over five days. The representatives were courteous and showed concern. I told them I could not pick up my package at the Fedex depot. At the end of the five days, I was tired, emotional and irate. I live alone and this was not what I needed.FINALLY the Fedex driver called on the 5th attemp. He claimed that he didn't know which buzzer was mine. Logic would dictate it would be the same as the suite number on the address? All previous Fedex Drivers used that buzzer before. I think this driver simply didn't want to deliver an 80lb package. He was also upset the apartment didn't have an elevator, information which he said Fedex had not relayed. Even so, he had a dolley, it's not like he had to carry it up one flight of stairs on his back. Fedex * starSHOUT OUT TO COSTWAY: The representative I'd been writing to at Costway via Amazon checked in to see if I got my equipment, and was so glad that I did. She was very sorry for the delivery issue, and Costway gave me a small discount. THANK YOU. ***** stars

This unit is awesome remote.. Wi-Fi .. Cold.. Cold air... plus more... total comfort and easy to set up.I can finally sleep and relax in a comfortable environment. Unit is heavy but worth it. solid build and looks great!

The media could not be loaded.  The 1 yr warranty is activated on the day you place your order.Ours started making really loud grinding noises. I knew the warranty was close since delivery date was from June 27th to July 2nd 2022. Being I contacted them June 28th...iffy. Anyway, inquired to troubleshooting and if needed, and if we could get replacement parts(didn't ask for a refund or free parts either), was told since it was ORDERED June 15th 2022, there was no warranty, no replacement parts but send a video. Not bothering if there is no warranty or replacement parts. So, since there was nothing to lose anyway, hubby took it apart(couldnt use the unit otherwise), he found that the center bolt on the bottom fan had come out, one of the blades was also damaged when the bolt hit it. The bolt system is faulty, as after putting it back on, reassembling the unit, the bolt has come off again a half a day later. This unit is not easy to pull apart either, took about 2 hours.Even though I'm giving this only one star, when the unit worked, it worked not too bad, but it didn't cool as well as the description stated either. On cooling, I'd give it 3.5 stars*update: My husband has now since this review, taken the unit apart another 3 times. Discovered more fan blades were broken. He took tiny zap straps and morifidited them to hold securely and re-tightened the bolt. So far, his hard work is paying off. It is working great, no noises, no thanks to the company.Enjoy the video with sound of what we were dealing with.**UPDATE This does not hold up when temps are -25C or colder.
