Works Great, but I would just like to add something about the safety of this lamp as I see some people are using it bare in their tanks, and worse yet uv decorations and glofish accessories are in the frequently bought together list..THIS IS NOT A DECORATIVE UV LIGHT, USING IT AS ONE AND EXPOSING YOURSELF TO THE LIGHT WILL HURT YOU. Decorative uv lamps are in the near uv and generally safe to view and be exposed to. This lamp is in the far uv, which is why it kills microbes. Far uv light causes eye and skin damage immediately and also causes skin cancer rapidly. DO NOT LOOK AT OR EXPOSE YOUR SKIN TO THIS LAMP UNDER ANy CIRCUMSTANCES.THE LIGHT IS NOT DECORATIVE AND NOT SAFE FOR PEOPLE OR PETS! DO NOT USE UNSHIELDED/OUTSIDE OF A FILTER.

This is the second light I have purchased. First one was on 24/7 and lasted over 5 years. I use it in my water fountain, (no fish or live plants). The water stays crystal clear and saves me from cleaning the fountain and pump constantly. If you have a fountain and are tired of algae buildup or cleaning constantly use this light!

So far I'm really impressed with how well this light worked. I set up a Biocube in freshwater and the water wasn't clearing up very fast, it had been over a month and I was still having some cloudiness even though all my tests showed the tank had cycled and all levels were normal.I've read a lot about the UV sterilizers but have never used one and this Biocube has a spot in filter area were this would fit right next to the heater and would be completely blocked off from the tank and outside world.I started using this 4 hrs a day, in 2 hr intervals, one in the morning and one in the evening, and after 5 days my water has really cleared up. Also noticed after 3 days the filter floss and fiber mats were really full of brown/green gunk.You can really see the difference in the pictures.This light seems to work great "better than I expected", and I'll keep it on the timer to do it's duty every day.

Very easy to use And quiet. Don't hesitate on buying this item if your tank looks like it's foggy either white or green. My tank is crystal and my fish are happy as can be.

I am amazed at how well this product works. Taking the suggestion several other users made, I put it in the filter basket on the back of the aquarium. My aquarium water was so foggy I couldn't see many of my fish (bright orange platys!) and not corrected with water changes, new filter system, multiple vacuuming, new gravel. It would be better for a few days then awful again. Within 24 hours it was remarkably clearer and has stayed so for months. The fish are unaffected by it. I would recommend it wholeheartedly and without reservation.

This made all the difference. With regular water changes I was still struggling with cloudy water in my saltwater tank. Just 4 hours of this on, inside my filter and it was like magic.

I was really excited to see if this will work and actually paid next day delivery. It said it’s a high quality item. I followed the instructions and turn it on the first time and then I heard a pop and knew it wasn’t safe and there is a smoke coming from the included adapter... very disappointed and waste of time and money.

I wish I would have taken before & after pictures. This worked better than I expected. I have been trying everything but my fish tank has been continued to be cloudy. I've changed the water, changed the filter. Nothing seemed to work. When I searched online people were suggesting a UV sterilizer light. It came in the mail yesterday. I put it in the tank in the back of the filter & today it's 85% clearer. I can't wait to see it tomorrow.
