Yes, on a low speed 175 floor machine. Apply a neutral cleaner with a mop. Scrub and re-mop to rinse. White pads are the least abrasive pads

Can this bad be used for buffing light scratches out my hardwood floors without further scratching it?, what is this pad made of?

This pad is used for polishing floors with a wax like coating on them. Working on your hardwood floors depends entirely on what is on the surface of the wood. It is not likely to remove scratches on a raw wood surface. If your hardwood floor has a poly type coating on it you should use fine grit sanding screen and then re-coat with a similar poly type coating. Hope this helps

What is the grit of the pad? 400, 800, 1500, 3300, ETC...? Can it be used for Travertine floors?

White is for buffing/polishing so it is a finer grit but I don't know if there is an actual grit size. Check with Manufacturer for those details!
