Combination Padlock with Key! Great for Schools, Gym, Work Lockers!

Loved the lock... didn't like that you cannot make a copy of the key. I always like to have 1-2 back up keys (because things get lost).

Works good. It's a little tough and rough at first trying to get the key in and to turn, also tight on the lock wheel, but the more you use it the more free it gets.

The code part of the lock works great. I wanted the key to add to my work badge in case I forgot the code. Unfortunately, after using the key a few times, it started sticking and not working very well. It’s a rather flimsy key and it seems that it may stop working all together if I keep using it. I still keep the key just in case, but have a copy of the code stored as a back up since I don’t have confidence the key will actually work if I need it. Rather disappointed in the quality.

So I am the proverbial nerd. I have always wanted to have a reason to own the Master Lock combination locks with the key in the back--- no idea what is so fascinating about it, but it is.So we had to implement some new lockers for stored equipment and each person has their own lock-- yes I have the combinations, but if I need to get into the locker for some reason, I can easily grab a key and unlock it. Yes I could just use the combination, but as I said--- it satisfies that nerdy infatuation with this type of lock!Overall it is exactly what I was expecting for this lock. I was also happy that the grouping were all keyed the same.

I paid more hoping for a good lock. This is NOT any where near the quality of old Master Lock. The metal on the back is so cheap and thin it is buckling from where they stamped the serial number. Mine would not open with key or combination, so I got a refund from Amazon. This was a waste of my time and at first they wanted me to continue wasting my time by sending it back. The back of this cheap lock is so dented up, that I suspect that someone else has already returned it. It it worked, it might be okay if everyone in the world were honest, but they aren't. That's the whole point of getting a lock. As it is, I would not trust this to keep valuables in a gym locker. I guess Master Lock must have figured out that many school kids are told to get a Master Lock. Since they are guaranteed that market they have decided to rip every one off with a cheap and shoddy version of this once great product.

The combo has worked flawlessly. No problem with repeated daily use. The key, however, not so much. It has only worked a few times, and feels like it will break if I use it with any frequency. If I had to rely on the key, I wouldn’t go with this product.

Needed to lock up my storage unit so this was a great option!
