Blades are specially sharpened and taper to a point. Due to the greater length of the legs of the scissors (greater leverage) and the bent shape of the blade, also the "more distant" toenails can be reached easily. Large handle holes allow good grip (two fingers can be used in one hole). These nail scissors suitable by the special cut for stronger nails, but can also cut fine structures accurately -18 cm total length - large finger holes - hardened stainless steel, stainless with this new scissors you can, even if you can not bend down so far as to cut toenails easily and accurately.

I am very pleased with this purchase. The length of the scissors is good for those of us that are not as flexible as we used to be. They do a good job of cutting moderately thick/hard nails. My initial order was lost by the carrier, and Wittex customer was excellent in dealing with the problem. They responded promptly to my email and shipped out a replacement immediately. The scissors do ship from Germany, which is not really clear from the item description. I live on the west cost of the US, and I received my order in 10 days.

There are better options....
I am a 49 year old man with moderate to soft toenails.. Sometimes I can peel my toenails myself with my fingers... These Scissors are of good length but the scissor holes could be wider and possibly thicker to absorb some of that finger stress when clipping.. Additionally the blades could be a bit sharper and thicker as well.. I do better cutting my nails with a pair of cheap kitchen utility scissors.. Shipping is from GER which was not specified on the ad at the time of purchase.. Expect a delivery delay!

These foot nail scissors don't cut it.
These Wittex Germany Foot Nail Scissors Durocut Long don't cut well. I had hopes for these scissors because of the two positive reviews. I needed them for several hard toenails. The finger holes and grip are nice, but they were not sharp enough or strong enough to cut the nails without a lot of force, equivalent to a toenail clipper. They did not seem as advertised. In frustration I decided after having previously tried other scissors and clippers to try the Fiskars Softouch Micro Tip Scissors I had been given for pruning, and general cutting. To my surprise they worked quite well, without a lot of force. However they do require a lot of concentration because the points are so sharp... and they cut at the point!These Fiskars Softouch Micro Tip Scissors are sold on Amazon, so people can take a look at them.
