Inexpensive and quality tool.
I looked hard to find a quality tool to crimp 1/16" sleeves. Its made by Loos Cableware that makes very high end cable tools and accessories. Aircraft and military spec stuff.Everything they make is great quality.I am glad to find a tool from Loos that is affordable.Anyway its at the bottom of their range. Their tools go up to tens of thousands of $$$Once I started using it, I was sold again. It is solid, and it just works. It has the appearance of made in USA.The built in cutter works very well. I can cut 1/8" stainless cable with it no problem. When its time to cut the 1/16" its rated for it does not even know its there. It also has a well done latch that holds it in the closed position for storage. If you need a crimper for 1/16" cable and lower, this is the one for you.

Gets the job done, but honestly-- flimsy
This works, but honestly, given the forces involved and what's being worked with, the handles are flimsy and the spring doesn't spread them well as I'd expect. They get the job done, but pricewise... *way* too high. Causes me to shy away from purchasing more expensive items from the same brand/mfg.Any plier-like hand-tool quality can be judged by the ability to squeeze the handles-- if there is any give or flex, it's junk.

A very nice tool to shear SS cable
A very nice tool to shear SS cable. It is not good as a crimper because it requires to much force to crimp aluminum sleeves. If you had to crimp 100 sleeves in an hour it would put your hands out of commission. It needs much more leverage for easy crimping. I tend to use a ball peen hammer and an anvil.

Good tool for the price
Well made and works like a champ! Swagged several devices to desks and the crimps were all strong and perfect. It's always nice to find a quality tool that works as advertised! Used 1/16" wire rope and Loos 1/16" ferules.

Works well, solidly built
This product works well and is solidly built. I like that this fits in a tool belt or tool box. I recommend it to anyone who needs to make small (1/16 and smaller) crimps and only needs to make them every once in a while. It would be nice if this tool ratcheted down on the sleeve instead of just being powered by manually forcing the two handles together. No big deal for doing a half dozen crimps in a single sitting, but I wouldn't use this tool if I had to use it throughout the day, every day.

Works well, used it for 1/16 cable and is great for doing a few but became tiring after doing many.Still working well after the first 50 double crimps.

Good Tool
This was a good alternative to more expensive versions of the tool. It does take some care to get a good crimp. We've found that you need to crimp it sideways in the appropriate sized openings and then go back and crimp the flat piece with the teeth that are between the openings to make a secure connection. This may not be the correct method, but it worked.
