Let me learn you a thing or 2 about this here bookshelf. Does it contain shelves... yes. Are said shelves capable of holding books... also yes. Would I recommend the bookshelf? Yes I would, it is easy to assemble and is affordable. It did however have a few chips and dents in it.

i bought two of these to help house my growing gaming and tech collection. seeing as i price was good and the reviews were alright i figured i'd give them a shot. as they are far from perfect. they house my PC, games, and consoles amazingly and are far more sturdy than one would think!putting them together was a pain (what furniture you have to assemble isn't?) and the packing Styrofoam was a nightmare as it crumbles when you move it. but it arrived no damage and the fit and finish was far better than i thought it'd be.the ONLY issue i had of annoyance was that when i went to put the second one together the bag of hardware wasn't sealed properly and was scattered everywhere in the shipping box, luckily all still there just scattered.long and the short is when i need more storage i do plan on getting more of these. they work, and the price was shockingly good,

This is the third one I have purchased over the years. Don't expect great looking wooden furniture for the price. But the bookcase looks decent and works well. I have used them for books, heavy and light. The backing is a heavy cardboard type material but lasting. Two units are 10 years old. I have one in the pantry that is filled with canned goods and one in the storage room with heavy items. Easy to assemble.

Broken and only came with shelves. no screws or pegs or instructions etc. They offered my money back but It was too heavy for me to return. The book was beat up upon delivery and the boards were also beat up and chipped. I was crap. I did keep it thinking ill use it in my shop since it looks crappy, i will buy screws. LOL no. I bought some screws but I can not find instructions online either. Also, i looked up similar shelves and I am missing way more than the screws. It literally came with nothing else. This is a delayed review, I know. I just was reviewing my orders and thought about how angry I am that Walmart sells better ones. That is the first time I could EVER say that. Just sayin'.

My wife and I wanted a cheap bookcase that we could use for a few years and then dispose of when it wore out. We weren't looking for (or expecting to receive) a fine piece of furniture.The general quality of the materials was as I expect– inexpensive but fit for the job. There were some chips, but nothing that we minded.The quality of the predrilled holes, though, was pretty poor. Nothing lined up well, particularly around the top. This is a short bookcase that you see the top of, so it was disappointing to get it out of the box and assemble it only to discover how poorly the edges come together. The bad alignment was also different on both sides (see pics) so the complete effect was pretty unsymmetrical. I'd try another seller.

Product was well packaged. Good assembly instructions. Arrived early. Sturdy. Watch if your floor is uneven, for it leans toward the tilt. With my tilted floor, I put some cardboard pieces under the front of each side and it fixed the lean. It also has a strap at the top back that could nail into the wall to hold it against it. I didn't use because of cement wall. Great buy! I highly recommend!

The first shelf I received was pretty good. The delivery was super quick. I received the item about three days after I ordered it (total $36 and free shipping). The instructions were fairly simple but screwing by hand required a bit of force for someone my size. The back is made out of cardboard but I didn't mind since the price was low. I also wanted a book shelf that wasn't too heavy but was sturdy, so something in the 35-45lbs range. This fit the description. Since I liked the first one, I ordered two more, especially since the price dropped to $30 with free shipping. I probably shouldn't have however. The second shelf was damaged/dented along an edge (minor damage but noticeable). The hole slots for the screws were much messier and the cardboard back wasn't wide enough to nail it securely against the wood. The board needed to be a good 1/2" wider. I had to hammer in the nail slanted towards the edge to that it wouldn't show through from the back of the shelf. Also one of the nails was missing for both the 2nd and 3rd shelves, but this wasn't a big deal since I had my own nails.
