Great Upgrade
Such a brilliant upgrade. Keyboard is almost silent and the mouse works well too. I was also pleased that it came with batteries.

Great keyboard, average mouse
Keyboard: very good, low profile keys, silent, soft touch. Looks good too. No 'Fn' key on left side though (only 1 on the right) which might be an issue for some. Mouse: average... loud clicks, cheap plastic feel, very loud clunky middle scroll wheel click. Otherwise fast and responsive. Works on my Ubuntu 24.04 system. USB receiver plugged into the back. Product comes with batteries for both devices.

Good Value and Does Exactly What it Should
I’m very happy with this HP wireless keyboard and mouse set. Both were quick and easy to set up and worked straight away once plugged in, with no issues connecting. The keyboard is a good size and comfortable to use, with well-spaced keys that make typing easy and accurate. It feels sturdy and responsive, which is great for everyday use, whether for work, emails, or general browsing. The mouse is smooth and comfortable to hold, and it works well on different surfaces. It’s responsive and precise, with no lag, which is exactly what you want from a wireless mouse. I also like that the wireless connection helps keep my desk tidy, with no trailing cables. The overall build quality is very good, as you’d expect from HP, and it feels reliable and well made. Overall, this is a solid, dependable keyboard and mouse set that offers great performance for everyday use. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, good-quality wireless set from a trusted brand.

Really good. Keyboard is quiet and mouse is good. Not as hefty as Logitech but nice in the hand.

Mouse Wheel Too Smooth
This HP 230 Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Combo Set is the very epitome of cheap and cheerful, with one glaring flaw that really makes it unusable for me. That's why I am typing this review on another keyboard and mouse package (Artek HW192MW162). I bought this particular set because the keyboard was quite compact, having no wrist rest at the front. A three button mouse is fine for me. The keyboard uses two AAA batteries, whilst the mouse uses a single AA battery. I can't comment on battery life, for reasons outlined below. Both items (keyboard and mouse) are connected to the PC by a typical USB dongle, which works fine. The keyboard is one of those silent types with two membranes inside. Pressing a key completes a circuit to register the letter. It seemed quite responsive to me. This kind of keyboard may be cheap to manufacture, but they do not deal well with spillages. The older mechanical keyboards have a clearance beneath the keys to allow for the accumulation of dust and crumbs falling through the key spaces. The mess would gather in that gap without affecting the responsiveness of the keys. It was also possible for such a keyboard to survive fluid spillages, with the fluid gathering in that clearance rather than on the key mechanism. That luxury has disappeared with the more modern membrane keyboards. How do I know this, I hear you ask? Well, I had just installed the keyboard when I stupidly spilled a glass of fizzy juice all over it. It immediately stopped working properly, with some keys not registering presses and some giving the wrong output. Thankfully I still had my old keyboard. In an effort to rescue the situation I drained the keyboard of about a quarter of a pint of unwelcome fluid and opened it up. That required a special star shaped screwdriver head, but it wasn't too fiddly. It took a long time to clean and dry the keyboard, but after a few hours of drying the keyboard worked good as new. I relate this tale here because it may be useful to others. You CAN rescue this keyboard from disaster by gently separating the two internal membranes and mopping and drying. However, that's not why this keyboard and mouse combo gets only one star. To begin with the mouse was quite useable, and a nice shape for my hand, but over time (about a month of heavy daily use) the mouse wheel started giving me problems. The wheel has a soft, rubbery feel, and to begin with that was fine. But it didn't take long for the wheel to pick up the oil or grease from my finger. I don't think I'm an especially greasy or oily person (?), but after a while the wheel just stopped turning when applying light pressure. It became a case of having to press on the wheel, but not hard enough to trigger a click. That was incredibly frustrating, leading to many misses and unintentional actions. Eventually the wheel became effectively unusable, and I have moved on to another manufacturer.

The lag from the mouse is very bad, even after cleaning it and replacing the battery; this is with the receiver very close. The keyboard also goes to sleep even when in use.

Frech !

El producto que he recibido estaba usado. Presentaba esparadrapos en la parte trasera y tenía las pilas puestas. Me parece increíble que no se revisen estas cosas.
