The Fujifilm X-T20: 125 X-Pert Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Camera

A model of its kind
If you're considering this book because you think it will get you out of reading the 331-page X-T20 owner's manual, well, forget it. It won't. (Besides, the manual actually isn't bad -- clear, concise English -- I've seen much worse.) Pfirstinger says his book is a supplement to the manual, and that's exactly what it is -- a collection of tips on how to get the most of the camera, once you've mastered the basics of how it works. Example: the manual explains how the Panorama mode functions; Pfirstinger tells you how to get the most out of that mode, what its drawbacks are, and why you may want to use an image processing program instead to create panoramas. Some parts of the book are quite technical, but for the most part, if you're a reasonably adept digital photographer, you should have no problems. I found it extremely helpful.

Individual "tips" rather than a comprehensive overview - still a good book on the X-T20 and highly recommended
This is a good book that explains a lot and perhaps most of the questions that the Fujifilm X-T20 Manual does not, or only inadequately, addresses. Much of the "lingo" and abbreviations frequently used with the camera are spelled out and clarified. While the book is presented as a collection of tips, which is quite useful, it sacrifices some of the "overview", which the reader may miss. Still, the author sorts the tips into categories, which is of some help. Overall a very good book that has helped me a lot and I highly recommend.

It's good for occasional reference and also for a broad overview
I switched to the Fujifilm X platform from a Nikon APS-C setup. As a serious hobbyist and frequent freelance photographer, I found this book very helpful in getting familiar with my new X-T20. More than just a manual, it walks the user through the various camera settings and basic post processing options within the context of situations when those tools might be used. It's good for occasional reference and also for a broad overview. It's well written, clear, and a hell of lot more fun to read than the Fujifilm manual included with the camera.

A lot of great information without bogging you down with technical jargon
My husband and I both got new Fuji cameras. I like easy reference, with layman's terms. I chose this book. It has tons of information! It does the job well and it is like reading a book by a smart guy in a conversational tone. My husband bought a 600 page book for his T2. It reads like stereo instructions. He can have it!

A must read for owners of this camera...though if you had another Fuji maybe it would be less useful. The book not only explains the functions of the camera (in depth) it also gives photography technique examples along with the functions. It explains the function and how / why you may use it in practice.

but as I had already owned and used the XT1 extensively I had a pretty good understanding of the cameras working features
This book explains in more detail the workings of the XT20 compared to the manual supplied. Few of the tips were very helpful, but as I had already owned and used the XT1 extensively I had a pretty good understanding of the cameras working features. Well written and easy to follow. His settings suggestions are worth considering

A Mudt Read for Fuji S-T20 owners
This is a consise easy read, which provides valuable information on how to get the most out of you Fuji X series camera. I found that reading it along with the manual was much less frustrating than trying to just get by with the manual.

Good Supplement to Owner’s Manual
I found the owner’s manual confusing to a longtime Nikon user, with proprietary terms and minimal explanation of complicated issues. Thirty minutes, and the book had more than paid for itself. Don’t plan to read it straight through. Pick topics. Well organized. Well written.

Very helpful
It is not possible to select the metering mode with a metering dial located under the shutter speed dial as mentioned on page 46 of the book because the X-T20 does not have such a metering dial and therefore the selection of metering methods is only possible via menu. Apart from that the book is a very helpful collection of tips for the understanding of the notable capabilities of the camera.

A 'must have' for Fujifilm X-T20 owners
I bought my little Fujifilm X-T20 as an introduction to the world of 'mirror less' having just hauled my extensive Nikon SLR kit around Africa and wanting to lose weight in this department. The Fujifilm X-T20 is a great little camera but as always suffers from a boring and endless instruction book.Changing over from Nikon is a nightmare so when this book appeared I was delighted to find that someone had taken the difficult bits and explained them in such a way that both the experienced and new to photography people can understand.Good book, easy to follow and a must have for me.
