Instant improvement in the condition of my hair after one use!
This strengthening hair mask by Percy and Reed comes in an easy to dispense tube that looks part of the luxury market. The back of the tube is full of information, I love this. If I’m investing in a product I want to know exactly what it is going to do for me and how best to use it to maximise its effectiveness. And that’s what this delivers. There are five main areas of improvement which are strengthen, repair, prevent, protect and calm. For each one it describes what it is going to do and how it’s going to do it. This level of information gives me trust in the product before I’ve even used it!The tube is hygiene sealed (another big tick for me) so before first use you need to remove the cap and peel away the foil seal. As soon as you do this you can smell the product. It is a heavily botanical smell nothing synthetic. I washed my hair and squeezed out as much water as I could before applying this mask, you can leave it on for up to ten minutes I probably left it on for five. It was easy to use, heavy enough to coat your hair but also easy to wash out.My results were much much softer hair. I have tried many conditioners etc but this is the only one to give me instant results, I’m actually excited to use it again and give it the full ten minutes! At £26.00 it probably looks to be expensive but then this isn’t your daily conditioner it is a treatment to be done once or twice a week and with the results I’ve seen I think it is thoroughly worth it.

It’s pricey but does deliver definite improvements: easy to use and smells lovely.
Percy & Reed Give Me Strength, Hair strengthening Mask: This mask is aimed at hair that tends toward being dry, brittle, thinning and in need of some shine. Having used this a few times now I think it’s definitely making a difference to my mop. From the first application it reduced frizz and left my hair feeling lighter and with more body.It recommends using with other products from the edit, but I’ve used with my regular shampoo and it seems to harmonise with this just fine. Apply after shampooing and leave it on for 10 mins, at this stage you can easily comb through if you wish. I found it rinses out easily, it doesn’t leave hair feeling heavy or greasy, and it smells lovely, nothing overpowering but you definitely get the mix of coconut, rosemary and orange - it’s an odd combination but it works.Over time this is supposed to stimulate hair growth and improve the condition of each strand, to give hair a fuller and healthier look. It’s paraben and silicone free and reports to suit sensitive scalps - mine isn’t so can’t comment. It’s a lovely product - Percy & Reed products are usually highly rated. My only issue with this product, and the reason for my 4 star rating, is it’s priced at £26, most of the P&R products are priced in this region, but somewhat of a luxury for many I suspect, however worth adding to the Christmas list and aim to use sparingly. I’ll definitely continue to use based on results so far.

Sadly, not for me
I wasn’t too keen on this hair mask. I left it on my medium length hair for 10 minutes and washed it off. However, my hair felt very sticky - it felt like I had thick oil in my hair. It didn’t feel nice at all and my hair felt very rough and knotty afterwards too. The knots and roughness of my hair was so bad, that I had to reapply my usual hair mask.Sadly, this hair mask wasn’t for me. I didn’t like the feel of my hair after I washed it off and it left my hair feeling rough/knotty instead of soft, smooth and hydrated.

Was ok but major quantity problem
The media could not be loaded. It did help my hair go smooth and straighter but I'm already near empty and I've only used it a few times, my hair is really long and that is why, maybe I should use less but it says through hair lengths but because my hair is long I needed more produce on it. Suffice to say its not worth the quantity of 26 quid even though its good product I wouldn't pay that money for a few weeks worth of smooth hair. Has poor value for money.Run it through ends of the hair leave on for 10 minutes or more if your hair is more dry curly, could leave it on for 15 or 20, then rinse it all out.

.....
My usual hair care routine consists of; shampoo, conditioner, combing out the knots with a large toothed comb, pointing a hairdryer at it, and then giving it a brush - so yeah, it's beyond time for added TLC in my routine. I tried this because I'm hunting around for my perfect match in a deep conditioner/mask, not because I was really expecting truly notable results from this particular one...I use it once or twice a week to give my long, dry, coarse, frizz-prone & coloured hair a boost. I've found that this moisturizes my hair really well, but doesn’t weigh it down and my hair doesn’t look lank or greasy, like many other masks make it look. When I comb out the tangles after use, much less of my hair snaps & there are fewer knots. Plus my hair has no frizz, is smooth to the touch & when I pull a broken strand between my fingers it has elasticity to it, instead of snapping straight away like it used to.The fragrance is dreamy, the results have really impressed me and I began seeing improvements from the first use onwards, however the price is a bit "ouch". I do prefer this over other masks, so I very likely will buy this again, as you do recieve a generous amount.
