The Easton Press edition of Canterbury Tales is visually beautiful, a pleasure to hold. I first read Canterbury Tales in college, a regrettable number of years ago, but lets not talk about that. It is a book to read again and again. Each person's tale gives a window into the way they saw things. You'll develop favorite tales, mine (unsurprisingly) is the Millers Tale, but they are all interesting.

I have only read the first story. But the book met my expect ions. Easton Press books are so beautiful, gold embroosed leather, raised ribs on the spine, gold around the pages and an attached satin ribbon book-mark . the are almost to beautiful to read! But do it anyway as they have many of the great classics.

I have many Easton Press books. They are fantastic and a joy to read. The Canterbury tales is a wonderful peek into the lives of ordinary people in Chaucer's time. The reason for only 3 starts is that the shipper sent the book in a plastic, unpadded mail envelope. This resulted in a bashed corner which can never be repaired to its original condition. Any reputable dealer in fine books should have known better than to ship this book in such a fashion. Really a shame.

Bought used. This is a wonderful book. It had a book plate but it was easily removed. Otherwise looks new.
