Best book available for the Crowley Tarot deck. A must have for understanding and using this deck.
Love this book. It is not just a description of each card, but this is only half of the book. It also goes into detail about the meaning of each suit and number, and the planets and astrological signs associated with each card. This part might be the most valuable part in understanding the deck. The book includes a history and the origin of the Crowley Tarot deck, and the Tarot in general.

Useful Esoteric Knowledge for Understanding Tarot
Only 30 pages in, but I'm 5-starring it now. I'll probably do a complete review later on.Crowley presents a wealth of unique knowledge about the Tarot (and naturally, this is intertwined with talk of Qabalah & astrology).[Update: August 02, 2019]After the enlightening introductory material, Crowley gives descriptions of all the symbolism in each of the 22 Atu cards. Starting with #0 the Fool card, I was worried about the pace of the book because he provides an exorbitant amount of folk parables to which the Fool’s symbolism corresponds; I found this tedious for my purposes, but it’s all still esoteric interesting info, and this may be fine depending on the reader.Thankfully it does not continue that way, and the rest of the Atu descriptions are relatively short and concise.I’m glad to learn the actual reasoning behind what's going on in each card, seeing that there's a logical ‘scientific’ design behind each card. This book is definitely something you want to read if you plan on working with tarot to do readings, or even just for self-study.Similarly, Part 3 describes the significance & meanings all the Court cards, and Part 4 describes all the Minor Arcana.First Crowley describes the Qabalistic theme of each of the sets overall (e.g. the 1’s, 2’s, 3’s etc.) and then goes into specific detail about the meanings of each particular card within each suit. These descriptions are brief, fear not.And last, this book also has a lot of bonus material: appendices, charts, etc.Definitely recommended if you want to know the Tarot in depth from its esoteric foundations.-Paul C.

Crowleys interpretation maybe, but certainly not the best
I'm pretty disappointed in this book after reading all the great reviews. Overcomplicated explanations, and absolutely nothing to do with thoth/hermes in my opinion. Nothing about Egyptian tarot. I was hoping for a lot more from this occultist author. Of course his brain was addled by syphilis I've heard. And tarot along with astrology was based on a geocentric pattern which I believe to be the most accurate. Anything else is leading you astray.

True meaning of tarot...
I just recently received my book and matching tarot cards (large print), and I feel the connection. People look at the name, "Aleister Crowley," and think of the negative aspects to who he portrayed himself to be vs esoteric point of view he teaching (he applies many schools of thought, that applies even today in 2020) I haven't even completed the book, as I just received the book 24 hours ago. It is so worth it!

This book set the bar
This book is vital, every time I read it, it opens up a little more. Touches on multiple disciplines from astrology and Hebrew attributions to geomancy and "Yi King" (I Ching) without degenerating into a hot mess of new age blather. There's good solid information for using the deck. And it's Uncle Al. If you don't have it, or you've lost your old copy, grab it!

Got the cards? Read the book why don’t ya.
It’s not an easy read (even after reading Lon Milo Duquett’s Understanding the Thoth Tarot and Chicken Qabalah before reading this) but I think there’s something to be said for reading Crowley. Nothing better than the source material. Schlep through it and absorb it if you’re serious about the Thoth deck.

This is a worthy supplement to the Thoth Tarot
This book can be confusing for those who are unfamiliar with Aleister Crowley and his turgid, Nineteenth-Century writing style. But for those willing to put some time into it, it is a "Gold Mine". The Thoth Tarot Deck itself is both beautiful and profound. In contrast to this book, the Tarot Deck is likely to "turn on" almost anyone--with very little effort.

A good product worth the money.
After spending the last two or three weeks using this product with my axe, if you know what I mean, the only issue I have is that I have no idea what the point of the tone generator is for. But the tuning and metronome modes are both first rate and would recommend this product to any musition of any string instrument.

Essential companion to the Crowley Thoth Tarot Cards.....
A 'must have' for anyone possessing a Crowley Thoth tarot pack.....A mixture of intelligent, lucid and historic guidance into the Thoth tarot world.....allied to some of the more obscure and eccentric views of the occult world peculiar to Crowley....Crowley is an influential figure in modern occult thinking....and has become 'fashionable' in rock music circles....Recommended....!!

Love the book
Fabulous book. I've been working with the Tarot deck for quite some time with amazing accuracy so it seemed it was time to now read the book and I'm not disappointed. I'm glad I've read the cards before the book though but this book is a wonderful addition to them.
