These are NOT copper! They are a "copper colored" coating OVER brass!
Do not buy! Not copper, There is a "Clear coat", and then a copper colored coating over the brass they made these with. I tested them before using and they wouldn't read because of the coating! I Filed that coating off and low and behold? A thin coating of copper came off and I found Brass! Do not waste your time or money! Do not buy!

Not copper.
This product has two big problems with it. 1. It has some clear coating that completely prevents continuity. No connectivity at all. You must file off the clear coat in order for them to work. 2. They are not copper underneath the coating. They are brass. This is clearly false advertising. They are beautiful but it's a shame they are not as described.

What a joke... ripoff
This set of spades is only enough for ONE SIDE (one channel), bot even enough for a pair of speakers cables. Total ripoff!!! For that price, it should at least be for a full set.... WOW.

Ignore the complaints
The application I needed these spades for these were perfect for the price. I created a high-performance grounding cable that used 10awg OFC with a 16awg silver-plated copper wire added to it. These spades were more than able to accept the thick wire. The cold-weld connection that these spades used guarantee excellent conductivity and security that the wire will never slip out. Since my application was more about electrical conductivity than sound quality, these were perfect. I didn't cut into the spades to see if they were solid copper, because in this scenario, even if they were copper plated brass, they'd be better for conductivity than basic aluminum spades you get in electric wiring kits. The spacing of the spade has two sizes internally, which is perfect because it ensures that it will attach to just about any binding post there is. This needed to connect to both a standard banana plug binding post and a MUCH larger banana plug biding post and it fit both.

Measure your speaker binding post to ensure fitment
My post is 8.35mm these barely fit if I force it. As per stated, the inner spade measurement is 8.3mm. It measures 8.28mm with my caliper. The inner spade surface is "concave" and not uniform instead of flat. I chose to minimally grind away the inside for better fitment.Despite the other reviews stating it's made of brass instead of copper, I believe they are mistaken. The metal is reddish, more like copper than brass (yellow). See pictures.Though I do question the purity of the copper used. It seems a bit rigid for pure copper. Will install them and update if I have issues or they negatively affects my system's sonic character. As it stands, it's a great value and good construction.

Excellent quality solid copper spades
I was hesitant about these at first, as copper tends to tarnish rapidly, although it is a superior conductor over gold. The heat shrink they supply provides an excellent amount of protection for the metal and the connection. I have the silver banana plugs as well, and they didn't have a bit of tarnish on them after two years thanks to the heat shrink. Some people will prefer silver plated over copper, for me copper has a warmer sound that is still very detailed. These have little allen screws, which is kind of a pain if you don't have the right size allen key but at least they don't strip like flat head screws.

Does the job and looks good doing it
Needed something that wouldn't sweat 90A surges and would keep its cool under 50A constant current and this seems to handle the job fine. I just ran it for a few hours and I only got to keep about 5A average current going through it, but it handled the surges fine. Its connected to my car battery to supply my 3KW inverter.

Good product but you'll need a very small Allen wrench
These are easy to install. You'll need a very small Allen wrench (hex key) to tighten them down. 2mm, I think.Note that the opening is stepped, which may make them easier to use on binding posts of different sizes. Still, they were a little big for my amp's grounding post. In case you've never worked with heat-shrink tubing and don't have a heat gun, just use a hair dryer (high heat at close range.)

excellent product
Fitted cables well, great finish, and with the shrink tubing gave a professional finish...
