This thermostat is awful. For the price I thought it would at least be decent, but it only works about half the time maybe even less. At first it wasn’t running AC at all, kept saying indoor temp was the same as desired temp but it was far off. Used old thermostat & a mini thermostat to check indoor temp and it was 10° warmer in the house than what this one said it was. After reading reviews I edited the sensory calibrator and that seemed to work for a little while. Then it changed my desired temp to 65° and would not let me change it from the thermostat or the app. I would change it and it would immediately go back to 65. My AC was on auto and when I checked the running time it said it was running for 15 hours trying to cool the house to 65°. Tried resetting, deleting and redownloading the app. Nothing worked. Ended up switching back to the old thermostat and returning this one. Spend the extra money to get a Nest, way more worth it for only a little extra.

Took a chance on this thermostat since it had no reviews, and in my opinion it paid off. The grandparents old thermostat was a super basic model, after years of service it started having issues. I got this one mainly for the app control and having buttons to manually adjust on the thermostat as well.The pictures are from when I was testing it before installed it permanently and did not get any after I installed it. Installation and setup of the thermostat was less then 30 minutes. The pictures are what the temperature is set to and the current inside temperature, setting the temperature, a "screen saver" showing your local temperature status for the day, the option of screen locking the thermostat to only adjust settings via the app, setting the temperature via the and setting the temperature via Google home.Overall I really like the thermostat and app, they were easy to set up and to use. It allows the option to set schedules on the thermostat if you want to go that route buy does not have a "smart learning mode" to create a plan per the house behavior which I could less for anyway.The only gripe I have is with the app (make sure to download the Vine Thermostat and not the Vine Smart Control. The smart control app does not list this model of thermostat) the geo-location setting for setting you address automatically or manual did not work for me.

Great Thermostat:But Not Happy that it is advertised with Energy Data monitoring, when that is Not working in the app.Easy Install and integration.Temperature setting needs calibration, Not sure why that is for a New Thermostat.App works fine for most things.App does have some type of issues( 1:Difficulty adjustment of Temp, 2:Temp low deviation only .5 deg, 3:Energy Data missing!!!)

THIS WAS A EASY INSTALLATION FOR OUR NEW THERMOSTAT. ONCE YOU FIGURED THE WIRES THEN IT WAS A BREEZE. BATTERY LIFE IS BETTER THAN EXPECTED AND EASY TO CONNECT TO OUR ALEXA. SO FAR THIS HAS SAVED US ON OUR ENERGY BILL SO THAT I AM HAPPY WITH. THAT MAKES IT EVEN MORE A VALUE FOR THE MONEY. GOOD PURCHASE.

The Good:1. The price. This is as cheap as it gets for a smart thermostat.2. Very easy to install. Instructions are extremely thorough for a cheap Chinese thermostat. Written in clear English with pictures and diagrams and honestly couldn't be any better. It also comes with stickers to label the wires.3. Looks great!4. Very fast response time with no lag, even when using the app.5. The interface is very in-depth and easy to navigate and fantastic. App is easy to use... if you can get it to work.The Bad:1. The internal temperature sensor is way off. I spent 3 hours calibrating it using the old thermostat, a digital meat thermometer, and an infrared thermometer. All in all, it was about 8 degrees F off but once calibrated seems to be working accurately within 0.5 degree. This could be a problem for some systems but is fine for mine.2. The app is worse than trash. It took 3 different phones to get it to work correctly and even then I may have been lucky. There are 2 versions of the app, the first of which doesn't even list this model as an option. The second version of the app requires you to create an account and access to your wifi/bluetooth/location which makes sense... but also wants access to your photos and phone calls. Once you've created an account and logged in it wants you to setup and "Home" and needs your location for "weather services". This is where the big problems begin. You cannot adjust the schedule on the thermostat without the app, at least so far as I could tell. You can't use the app without first creating a home and setting up the location services and providing all permissions. Even after doing so, on an older Android phone the app kept crashing, and on a brand new current year top of the line android phone the location search and detection didn't work correctly through Google Maps. I ended up setting my location to somewhere in the middle of the Pacific Ocean just to get on with it. Using an iPhone I was finally able to register the correct location.Overall, I'd give the thermostat 5 stars (+1 for the price!) if the sensor had been accurate but given what it is I'd rate it 4 stars. The app is ok once it's working and does what it's supposed to. The app gets 0 stars for all the bugs and setup issues but would otherwise be about a 4.

Fairly easy diy install. Attractive styling. App crashes every time you open it, have to reopen it, but has good features.Installed thermostat in Feb 2023. It's now Nov 2023 and it is completely dead. Faceplate will not light up, thermostat no longer accessible from app or showing up on wifi. Didn't even last a year.Ordered a replacement. Was open box and wouldn't power on.
