Stainless Steel Algae Scraper Cleaner with 10 Blades for Aquarium Fish Plant Glass Tank

Just bought my second one because I accidently stepped on my old one and snapped it. I use it to scrape my fishtank every time I clean it. Works perfectly and easily scrapes everything off, no real strength needed to make it work. Exactly what I hoped for! Only thing is I wish it was collapsible, but that's okay. I now have it stuck behind my fihtank cabinet.

I have a 55 gallon and 10 gallon tank, neither of which currently has a pleco to clean it. I've used single blade razors by hand but it's very inefficient especially in the large tank. This tool has enough reach and is plenty strong enough. You don't need a lot of force, just patience. The blades that come with it are paper thin, and I followed the recommendation of someone else on here who had a link to some heavier gauge blades. They work really well. The one hassle to this scraper is that mounting the blade can be very tricky. You're trying to align two holes in three sheets of metal, one of which is razor sharp, and then set two small screws before it all shifts apart again. I found it helps to hold the tool so the sheets are horizontal, then use a pencil to align the holes and set the screws. A vise would be a good idea.

Great scraper for aquarium, comes with a few blades, though questionable at first because they were so thin they work great.The handle screws together which makes it a little flimsy.Overall great product and got the job done.

I just used this for this first time and I am so happy with it. My 120 gal had algae caked onto the glass at the gravel level and the sides toward the back. I could not get to it with the magnet cleaners and the brand name with the green scrubby pad was not getting the job done. I was worried that I would just have to live with the look of the 2-3 inches of algae around the gravel line. This cleaned it off so easily and quick, I was really amazed and happy. I see the same type thing from lots of sellers, but this came with the 10 blades plus one on it already. Handle is nice and long and solid metal. A must have to clean the glass of your tank. I'll buy another for my other small tank.

The media could not be loaded. I can't begin to stress how much easier this has made water changes! Every water change I scrub at the glass. (On this tank I do it roughly every two weeks). This was after exactly 2 weeks. The green algae on my glass is nuts in this tank. And this scraper is just a godsend. It gets into all the edges, and harder to reach places. And just slides the alge off like butter. It blew my mind, and was immensely satisfying.I used it immediately upon receiving it. I took it apart and dried it well after use (based on some other reviews of rust). So hopefully this lasts me a long time. I can't recommend this enough, to anyone suffering with this algae!

I've used this tool a couple of times now cleaning the glass on my 125gal tank. Works very well. Just a bit of a learning curve to keep the blade flat and at the best angle for cleaning. Works way better than the Mag-Float I was using. No scrub, scrub, scrub. One or two passes and glass was spotless. The long handle made it very easy to get everywhere. I could even clean the back glass by reaching over the top of the tank. Couldn't do that before! Easy to install the blade, seems to be well made.

The product works as described. No problems there. However, it is advertised as coming with 10 blades and it only came with 1 single blade in the packet. Dishonest.

I have had these tiny tufts of green algae pestering me for years that my magnet took... well more time and effort than I was willing to give to clean off.This scraper removed all of that in one pass usually.I have been using the one plade for sever cleanings with out a problem. No scratching. But you should be aware that this could easily scratch your tank. If you chip or nick the blade on a rock that can cause scratches. and use the blade with even pressure, dont try to use a corner of the blade. I also am worried about accidentally hitting the silicone and oof that could be a wet mess quickly, so I just leave the corners dirty.And the build quality is great, I have no Idea how anyone has broken one of these by using it with an appropriate amount of pressure. Which is like no pressure, once the razor is flat on the glass the sharp edge just lifts the algae off, no need to scrub or flex the blade.Great buy and a must have for any glass aquarium owner!
