Allerbling Food Allergy Awareness Bracelet

Helpful for kids, not perfect
I like that it comes with two size options for the wrist band and that it’s easier than a metal bracelet for my child. I love that many allergies are choices on the buttons. I would appreciate a mollusk button because there are two categories of shellfish allergy. The writing is ok closer up, but the pictures are very helpful. It’s lasted several years without breakage or other problems! The allergy “buttons” are not all that easy to get in, which is annoying, but once they are in, you don’t have to worry about them coming out👍🏻😉, which is very much appreciated with active kids!Recently bought a second set because my child developed another allergy and we couldn’t find the other buttons from the previous set.

Just what we needed
This fits my six year old perfectly. He loves to wear it and I love how bright it is and that it gets the attention of others to draw attention to his allergies. He also has asthma so I bought an asthma button separately to add to the bracelet. Now I feel much better when he’s at camp, school, church, etc. 100% recommend!

It broke while I was putting the bling
I’m so sad to break it while I was putting the bling. Good product though.

Cute, great for multiple allergies
This is actually 2 bracelets, one toddler sized, and one child sized, with the big 8 allergy "charms" and one medic alert "charm". The bracelets each have 5 holes, so you can put up to 4 allergy charm in if needed. If your child has more than 4 allergies, you would either need to buy another bracelet or find a way to make more holes. Also, if your child has allergies that are not in the "big 8" (wheat, milk, soy, shellfish, fish, nuts, peanuts, eggs) you may have to purchase extra charms for your child. My peanut and tree-nut allergic daughter is 3 years old, and just starting to venture away from my watchful care. She is not yet in preschool, but does go to a few church activities, and I am constantly worried about her being in trouble over her food allergies. I looked at a lot of options for a medic alert type bracelet or necklace, and this seemed to be the best suited for a toddler. It is waterproof, durable, and cute. It is not super-girly, nor super-masculine. The bracelet is a bright orange, which is quite easy to see on a child, but is not SO distracting as to make their beautiful face or clothing fade into the background. It is also trendy-looking, since it looks like all those other "sayings" bracelets kids are into right now.My favorite part about this bracelet is that it is EASY to see AND easy to read what the child is allergic to. With several of the other medical alert bracelets, you had to flip the bracelet inside-out and read something etched into it, or it would only say one allergy. There are only 2 downsides so far.1-my daughter likes to take it off herself. I anticipate we will spend time searching for this, before she gets used to wearing it ALL the time. But that is just because she is a very take-charge 3 year old, and you may not have this drawback.2-it is fairly expensive for 10 pieces of plastic. Especially factoring in shipping. However, my child's health and life is infinitely valuable, and this product is much cheaper than an ER visit, or even an Epi-Pen copay. So in my mind, it is worth it since I like it and my daughter will wear it. But if you can find something less expensive that meets your needs, go with that.

Critical tool to manage food allergies!
My son has worn one of these every day for 10 years to alert people to his multiple food allergies. It is such an important part of our food allergy plan- especially when they were too little to speak up and advocate for themselves. It is also still a great tool even though he’s older now
