Fabulous Book, Amazing Inspiration
I was gifted this book from the publisher but I would have been buying it anyway. It's a compendium of brilliant information alongside stunning pictures from a wide variety of potters. I enjoy Linda's writing style and Sue's background in product design is invaluable. I shall be using this book as a reference in my own studio for years to come.

Inspiring
This book covers all aspects of designing a tableware collection: inspiration, design, materials, clay preparation and recycling, health and safety, making methods, glazing, firing and combining materials.I think it’s particularly useful for self-taught potters looking to start or expand a tableware collection. It acts as a framework of all things you should consider, and while it doesn’t go into huge detail on every topic (otherwise it would be 50 times bigger), it’s enough to cover the basics and point you in the right direction.I especially liked that throughout the book there are plenty of examples of work from contemporary studio potters, showing different approaches to the same type of piece. Plus very practical bits of info like glaze recipes, diagrams of different shapes and step-by-step guides on the making techniques.

A beautiful ceramic book accessible to all
A comprehensive guide to making contemporary tableware - the book is jam packed with beautiful photos from makers around the world. Would highly recommend to anyone with an interest in how pottery is made, hobby potters wanting to explore new ceramic techniques and experienced ceramicists who want to further their skill repertoire and explore their own glaze recipes.
