Small Wooden Treasure Chest Box for Storage

These mini-chests are great little boxes, and a good value. They can be wonderful containers for any small gifts that you think your recipient might want to keep in a box, such as essential oils, incense, jewelry, teas, seashells, et cetera. And, of course, gold coins for your pirate treasure hunt! But not good for a silk scarf that could snag on the wood, nor for edibles that might absorb chemicals from the varnish. The color and decoration looks just like the photo. When you look inside, you can see that the walls are sturdy, maybe 1/4-inch plywood with a smooth face, like birch or pine. All surfaces are stained and varnished, inside and out, even the bottom! These mini-chests should hold up for a long time, as long as you don’t drop them often or get them wet. About the craftsmanship. . . They appear to have been made quickly, by hand, and with irregularities (I deducted a star), such as small gaps, or uneven staining and varnish. Some details look glued on, but most are attached with tiny brads. The catches are screwed on, and the bottoms are stapled into the sides with long staples. That’s the least attractive detail, but you only notice if you turn them over. But they are charming, and exactly what I needed. I use the largest box (see the photos) for essential oils—2oz., 1oz., and and smaller bottles. The medium one holds stuff by my bed (sprays, eye drops). The smallest one is very small, but can hold a few sets of earrings and pendants or chains.

These boxes are so detailed! They look heavy but are made of lightweight wood and are very sturdy. These are going to be perfect in my craft room to hold stickers, etc.

This item exceded my expectations plus more. These are great boxes, the craftmanship is quite lovely. The filigree design and concept of this item just blew me away. It is very vintage looking. The lock is made of metal and is well built overall. The brown filigree pattern looks great and sits very well in ANY room! The item itself comes with 3 different boxes. Each you will open and discover as you go. I was so delighted when I opened the first box, the second box, and then the third box. By the third one I was pleasantly surprised how adorable these were. I had to stuff them full of something right away! I decided to go with my jewelry and before I knew it, I was packaging these filled full of goods! I then decided to purchase more! I had a blast designing these filled with goodies! I was so happy with these I just keep buying more! I now collect them and keep jewelry still inside them, I have 3 in each room of the house! I also use these in my store and they are just wonderful! Very happy with these!

I give this 4 stars instead of 5 because the lid on large box doesn't always want to to latch because its loose. Works for stashing my smokes though. Beautifully crafted especially when displayed in a case. Great for odd knick knacks

I have bought on Amazon for 8 years or more and I think I have written two reviews and that is because I just don't have the time due to a disabled child at home who is sick 24/7. I had to write a review on these little wooden boxes because they can change the whole rooms look. See all my pics. I bought a set of three fir $15 bucks and then a week later another set. I like them so much that I'm looking for more space in my bathroom so I can buy a third set. I put all my tampons on one. Pads in another . Q-tips in another and painted some pennies so they looked like gold coins because my son wanted one if them to look like a treasure chest. I put my fish food in another. Yes I put a tiny ten gallon fish tank in my bathroom. My bathroom is very small. I bought those racks at the other store we all know that starts with a "w". 19.99 each right now as of June 6th 2019. The candles are the battery operated ones. I left the plastic on them that they are shipped in and slid that off and spray painted that. Slid the plastic back onto candles so they match the bathroom. Now as for these wooden boxes. To me they are cute and perfect and for what I'm using them for the price was fine with me. They all came perfect. Cute way to hide your stuff u dont want to advertise such as tampons pads and etc.

I was looking for something unique to hold essential oils for my diffuser and looked at dozens of different options. I didn’t want to spend a lot, but I wanted something that could be in plain sight without looking cheap or junky. (I also had trouble finding something that would be tall enough to hold the bottles.) This was a set of 3 nested boxes for under $15 so I decided to take a chance. Wow, what a surprise! Not only are they exactly the size I needed, they are surprisingly well made and pretty. I really only needed one, but have now found places to use all 3 of them since they were better than I had expected. To be clear, they’re not fancy enough to be jewelry boxes (plain, painted wood interiors without padding) but they are super little “catch all” boxes at a really good price.

What can I say. These are gorgeous!

I purchased this set for myself and then when it arrived my niece saw it and loved it. So I gifted the two smaller boxes out and I’m keeping the large box for myself. I actually ordered two other box sets and set them both back this three piece set was the best and actually the larger one fits a good amount of things inside. I really was worried because the price was so cheap but trust me these are great! Ignore how well priced this set is, because these are sturdy. They don’t smell funky and everything is in working order. The design on each box is really cute. They have a vintage look. My order shipped immediately with Prime and came next day! Definitely recommend!
