Makes a great (and large) cup of coffee, not the best lid handle
Overall this is a very good little moka/expresso pot with a GREAT water volume capacity. The construction is reasonably good, not exactly what I'd call heavy duty but isn't completely chintzy either. There aren't any razor edges on anything which is a plus and everything fits fairly snug and tight. The coffee grounds basket/filter stem is probably the flimsiest point on this unit and where you might have to be a little careful when handling/cleaning it. Past that it's fairly robust and probably not going to have many problems.Probably my biggest complaint on this would be the lid since it has a very small plastic flip handle that unfortunately with the way direction that the coffee vent/stem faces blows up steam where you would otherwise be able to use to open the lid with. About the only other little negative is that the bottom does tend to bow/dish outwards from it's normal flat state when heating which makes it bounce around a bit on the stove when the water is boiling inside (this was on an induction stove, so maybe with gas/electric it wouldn't be an issue).I previously had a 10 cup Trudeau brand moka pot that made similarly good coffee, but unfortunately was much smaller capacity (probably closer to a 6-8 cup even though it was labeled as 10), so it was rarely getting used (it had a MUCH better lid handle though). This 12 cup unit allows me to make my full extra large coffee mug full with room to spare still if I had an even larger mug (our coffee mugs are all 32-33oz sized).Brewing was pretty easy, just fill the mug up near the top with water, dump into the water reservoir (the near the top of the mug level is important since none of these style moka pots will siphon all of the water out of the basin/reservoir, so best to have filled a bit over your desired level), add your preferred amount of grounds to the basket (for me it was about 2 coffee scoops of finely ground coffee packed down reasonably firmly, ends up being a little bit below the middle ring line of the coffee maker basket), assemble together, and put it on the heat. Our induction stove had it at around a 7 out of 10 heat level to get it brewing and took around 5-6 minutes to have a cup ready. The cleanup is pretty easy once it cools off a bit, the grounds come out in a mostly solid puck with only a little wet grounds at the bottom. The grounds do swell up some and you probably would not want to fill the basket higher than that middle ring level in the basket when it's packed.

A gorgeous little coffee pot that makes excellent coffee (with a some very minor caveats)
I saw this relatively large Italian-style coffee pot (or, mocha pot) and it looked so nice I ordered it right away. I love coffee in its many varieties, including espresso, mochas, lattes, etc. Perhaps my favorite kind of coffee is espresso with a bit of sugar. The largest espresso maker I have is a 6 cup (2 oz/cup) pot. This coffee maker holds 12 cups, but there are some caveats about how this mocha pot works, continue towards the end for the full explanation. The coffee maker looks GREAT. The finish is polished stainless steel and Simyolife did an incredible job polishing the entire exterior of the coffee maker. It’s finished quite well, but it did notice some uncomfortably sharp edges, especially on lid. This isn’t a case of splitting hairs as I frequently caught the edge of the lid with my hand while cleaning the pot after each use. It’s not difficult to clean, but once you feel that edge you’ll want to take care when cleaning this. I towel dry mine and the finish shines after each wash. This coffee maker is comprised of only 3 parts: The brew pot, the filter and the boiler on bottom. It includes a silicon gasket, the very best gasket material they could have used as it lasts almost forever. This mocha pot is also induction ready, and even though I have an electric range, the water boils FAST. Simply add coffee into the filter, fill the boiler, assemble, place on burner and await some great coffee. I’d suggest grinding your own coffee beans, as you’ll want the coffee grounds for espresso to be finely ground. While preparing my first brew I immediately noticed that something was amiss. The filter seemed quite small for a 12 cup mocha pot. I pulled out my 6-cup Bialetti mocha pot and when I compared the filter sizes the Simyolife filter held about one more tablespoon of espresso grounds, even though it’s intended to make twice as much coffee. Even so, I wanted to see just how strong this could brew 12 cups of coffee, so I filled the boiler to just below the release valve and brewed some coffee. This pot heats coffee very quickly! It might have something to do with induction materials, but I was pleased how quickly it finished brewing.Once the pot had finished sputtering (all mocha pots do this), I poured a cup of coffee and had a taste. It was very tasty, but couldn’t be referred to as espresso as it was far weaker than I anticipated. All isn’t lost, though. What it did make was a fine cup of regular coffee. It’s unclear to me whether it was Simyolife’s intent to provide a mocha pot coffee maker that makes regular coffee, but the coffee was fine, just no where near the strength of what I expected from this type of coffee maker. While I couldn’t add anymore coffee grounds, I could reduce the amount of water I used. Later in the day, I brewed another pot, but used about half the water I did that morning and BINGO, we had what I’d refer to as an espresso. It even included some of the dark froth I really enjoy from the beans receiving some heat before the water begins to boil. I’ve had some time to experiment and can now make any strength of coffee or espresso I’d like. My wife, who doesn’t care for such strong coffee, absolutely loves this pot because she can easily brew coffee the way she likes it without measuring anything. The Simyolife Coffee Maker is something of a mixed bag, but I don’t intend for that statement to sound negative. It’s built a little differently than most Italian style coffee makers, which likely plays a role in how the coffee tastes. When I measure for espresso, it makes a fine cup of espresso. When my wife prefers a more traditional cup of coffee, it makes that as well. The only thing the Simyolife can’t do is brew 12 cups of espresso, and that’s by no means a deal killer. It’s a premium appearance is far ahead of anything I’ve seen from Italy and it makes fine coffee. As long as folks are aware of these conditions I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

Best on gas stove but electric makes great coffee
The bottom of the moka pot appears rounded so may have movement while brewing, doesn't affect the taste. But should and does do better on a gas stove as the bottom is oval seems to fit perfectly on a gas stove but need to watch handle of pot and heat.

Great for power outages
My girlfriend and her husband live off the grid in Montana. So they bought this so they can make coffee on their propane stove. Even though it says “espresso “ you can use regular ground coffee and have coffee either during a power outage or camping. Love it,

Great cup of coffee at a really good price.
Order delivered on time. Item performs well and looks great. The only drawback is that it is a bit difficult to clean the very bottom of the upper chamber. The product looks really nice and is made of polished stainless steel. The silicone gasket should last and provides a tight seal. I'm happy with it.
