This makes them the same as a popular name brand restaurant. I spent hours and hours and even some bad purchases on smaller crinkle cut cutters to finally realize that the XXL Borner is the ONE that you want for giant crinkle-cut fires at home. The blade gap is very large and also very sharp, so don't forget to purchase a plastic potato holder, any generic one on Amazon for a mandoline cutter will do just fine. I was in a hurry and did cut myself when not using one to hold the potatoes, so I can't impress enough to think of safety with this device. You and your family or friends will love the final potato slices! Also, don't forget to turn the potato 45 degrees for each cut, or it will not look right.

Makes great waffle fries, nice deep ridges. I also made some beer battered waffle spam that was delicious.

Firstly, the box went to WW3 and back,enduring floods, tears etc and was apparently reboxed by Amazon since there is a sticker covering up where the box was opened that says ‘new’. Note the orange on the box and the instructions vs the green cutter. As other reviews have stated, it is flimsy compared to the other two cutters previously purchased. However, it makes the right thickness waffle fry unlike the previous purchases which made potato wafers. It also fits perfectly over one of the previous cutters so I get the stability as well as the height plus the safety glove which came with previous purchase. The safety glove is a must and works better than the potato holder.

I looked for years for something that would make thick waffle fries like you get at chik fila or the frozen section and this is it! I blanch them, toss in peanut oil and freeze on a cookie sheet before throwing into a bag in the freezer then air frying later.

Upon receiving the package, I noticed it was already open, and key components like the safety guard and veggie holder, as shown in the product photo, were missing. I’m puzzled as to why the product was sent incomplete. Given the cost, I had expected a higher level of quality and attention. I’m very disappointed and feel inclined to share my experience with others.

My 1st time making waffle fries ! Very easy to use, make great waffle fries, wavy sliced 🥔 potatoes, easy to adjust, does not come with a food saftyholder to protect your hand when slicing, very sharp medal blade !, be careful, large size, durable plastic
