Pilotfish No Tail Adjustable Eyewear Retainer Cable Strap: Sunglasses, Eyeglasses, Glasses (14 Inch, Tactical Black)

I purchased the Pilotfish No Tail Adjustable Eyewear Retainer to keep my sunglasses secure during Disney trip and beach vacation. Overall, it has performed very well. The first thing I noticed was the low-profile design. Unlike traditional retainers with long dangling tails, this strap sits neatly behind the head and doesn’t get in the way. I loved how snug I could make it fit the back of my head. The adjustable cable allows for a secure fit without feeling overly tight. Once adjusted, my glasses stayed in place while walking, exercising, and doing outdoor work. The material feels durable and resistant to stretching, which gives me confidence that it will hold up over time. One feature I particularly appreciate is how lightweight it is. After wearing it for a while, I often forget it’s there. It also doesn’t interfere with hats or headphones as much as bulkier retainers can. Overall, this is a simple, effective, and well-made eyewear retainer. If you’re looking for a comfortable way to keep your glasses secure without a lot of extra bulk, the Pilotfish No Tail Adjustable Eyewear Retainer is a solid choice. I plan to buy multiple! I will mention, one of my sunglasses did not fit the attachment, however they were a very unique design by Oakley. My other sunglasses had no issues!

These are perfect for the person who constantly has issues with their glasses falling off. I purchased two pair to use while in the water at the beach. Hubby has lost 4 pair to the ocean; not while wearing the Pilotfish Retainer. Keeps the glasses comfortable close, adjustable, on the face or around the neck. Mine did not get caught up in my hair at all. These also work fantastically for doing anything that requires looking down. Helps keep the glasses in place and on your nose. No more falling down or off. Great for golfing or any sports. I use for biking too just for the comfort of keeping the glasses snug. 10 of 10, and will be buying more to keep in different locations of use. Pilotfish did a good job of making a quality product that works as stated it would, bravo.

I’m very satisfied with the Eyewear Cable. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do — it keeps my eyewear secure and prevents it from getting lost. The quality feels good, it’s easy to use, and it works reliably. A simple but very useful product that does the job well. Highly recommended.

I purchased two of these, one for my prescription Ray Bans, and the other for a prescription Ralph Lauren Frame. First: I would have given these five stars, which they are for me, but there may be a couple of things that may not be suitable for everyone. 1. The pictures accurately reflect the product. 2. My products were brand new, not returned, professionally packaged with feedback cards included. 3. The silicon sleeves fit snugly on the frame arms, they grip tight and won't easily come off. 4. The straps are sturdy wire straps, well constructed, but very light weight. 5. The adjustment mechanism works with ease, and you can quickly adjust them even after your glasses are on. 6. The length of the strap adjusts all the way from a snug fit around the back of your head, to a loose fit to allow you to drape your glasses well past your chin. Here are the things that may not be ideal for everyone. 1. I'm fairly sure that if you keep removing them and putting them back on the silicon sleeves will start to lose their grip; I would not keep interchanging them with glasses if you wear more than one pair. 2. It may be a little challenging to put your classes in their original storage case with the strap on. I have to adjust ming all the way in, then tuck the remaining strap under the glasses...and extra step that my inconvenient some. 3. If you prefer a light cloth strap, this is not for you

The strap is sturdy and easily adjusted. It performed very well with my transitions prescription glasses during a recent weekend hike. I definitely recommend it.

Great product. They're very secure on my Costas, although they will rip the soft rubber tips off the glasses if you remove them often. If you're a bigger person or will be taking them off your head often, I would go with the larger size and adjust them down to where you want. The tether portion seems to be a coated metal wire, so they feel very sturdy and hold up to regular adjustments well. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again. From Colorado mountain peaks to fishing in Wisconsin, these have held up for everything!

These don’t hold glasses with narrow temple/temple tips – the section that connects to the eye frame that goes over your ear. My sunglasses have a narrow temple tip and just having them hang over my neck— without any action or motion – –the connector portion of the retainer slipped off—disconneted, and the glasses fell off—and almost got my nice glasses scratched! So I think they only work if temple/temple tip are wider. Also, I got the 14 inch ones, and my neck isn’t that big, but that was too cramped when I tried to fit it over my head— even with the loop fully extended. I’d recommend getting the 16 inch ones. The advertisement boasts about no “ponytail.” But when I had the glasses on my head, with a firm fit, instead of hanging around my neck, there was a bit of a loop projecting out the backside, which to me was more annoying than a “ponytail.” Seems like a good idea, but it didn’t work for me and definitely not for glasses with narrow temple/temple tips.

I have a pair of glasses that are always sliding down my nose. They drive me nuts, so I was using an old Neoprene sunglass strap I used to use for skiing back in the 80's (LOL). They were bulky and looked really daggy, so I went searching for a more updated solution. They fit the bill perfectly. They are discreet and can be tucked under my hair, so you don't even notice them. That means that the shorter strap may still seem a little loose, but it does not slide all the way down my nose like before. I especially like that you can loosen the strap to put them on and then shorten them all the way when they are on your face.

This retainer works wonderfully first of all, I love the design. I was worried it would slip and get larger during use, but it stays nice and secure during activities, while still being easy to remove. Like a few others I apparently have a small head. I wanted the retainer to fit snug as I am using it during Taekwondo, however the 14” model was still loose. Thankfully the design of this retainer made it easy for me to trim and inch off each side, and add a new crimp bead to secure the ends. Now it fits just snug and kept my glasses from sweating off my face. I would highly recommend a 12” model, and even 10” as mine are still adjusted as small as possible and just snug. Children’s sizes would also be great. Thanks for the awesome product

Fits perfectly much tidier than other retainers I have tried. Can keep them on the glasses while in their box
