Although Amazon offered a seven days trial period, I only put them on for a trial inside the house for a few minutes. They fitted OK. I do not know if one is allowed to wear them outside, at length, before finding how uncomfortable they are. It did not seem right to wear them out and send them back, as they would not sell again.Anyway, for me, they are unpleasant to wear painful on the side of my ankles as they are not tight enough. However tight I pull on the laces, there is still no firm tightness.

I found the boots very comfortable to wear, on the second day out I was caught in a very heavy April shower, My feet got wet in a short time, not through the fabric permeating the water, the boots I had treated with Nik Wax Nubuk water repellent but through the tongue area, as it does not have any bellows side protection, there fore easy ingress off water. A grave weakness of its design, make these fair weather footwear only. One expects more at the price they were. I have yet to decide whether to keep them!

I have wide feet so I always break the seams of my shoes. I’m hoping that these will last longer. They’re comfortable and I think they look great. I am tempted to buy another pair.
