Chordbuddy Device Only

I absolutely love this item ...this is probably the fourth or fifth one that I have purchased giving some to friends and keeping spares here. I have no desire to go on the road and play music, this is totally for my own amusement and I have learned many different songs with the four cords that are on this device. Some of the songs were in the song book yet some of the songs that I have learned were from listening to my own music list and finding the cords .. since I have not gone through the learning program set up I cannot comment on it but when I purchased the first one two years ago I found that I got just as much enjoyment from just playing with the cord buddy and keeping it on my guitar . I believe that anyone that really has a desire to learn this system would greatly be at an advantage. The little rubber tips that are on each of the four cord limbs can wear down in time.. but they do send a package of replaceable tips when this happens . The plastic it’s self is not that thick and strong as it needs to be flexible ,so with any constant playing it does present the chance of breakage. This has happened to me but only after many hours of use.I bought another over the weekend because the current one I have is beginning to show signs of wear and I truly do not want to be without it. I play my guitar almost every day and I have a parrot who loves to sit on my shoulder and tries to sing along so this is truly an enjoyment for me and him. Love this Chord Buddy...it is my music fun time friend!!!

My guitar sat in the corner of my living room for years. I couldn't play it, despite trying to teach myself once or twice a year. Then I bought the Chordbuddy. I made more progress in an hour than I had made in 5 years. I can play the guitar now! I can accompany people as they sing! I can play by myself for fun! This little device is genius. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to teach themselves guitar. You'll be smiling in the first few minutes, and you'll be sending recordings of your music to friends and family within a day. Highly reccomend.

Didn’t seems to fit my full size adult guitar just right.Didn’t seem to strike one string, while the others were fine.Great concept. Wish it worked out.

It not easy to use.

The main issue is that when I press down on the C chord, it hits two strings at once which sounds awful. I have to press down and pull towards me to get it to sound remotely close to normal, but it certainly is not easy to play that way. The other chords do not have this issue, but they ring quite a bit. It just does not fit on my guitar. I watched multiple videos on how to install it with no luck. Would not recommend.

The idea of this product is great but it needs some serious work.My daughter is 4 and received a half size guitar from Santa. She loves to strum and make her own songs, but she’s not quite able to hold chords yet. I bought the Chord Buddy to help her begin to learn hand position and to be able to get used to changing chords whole strumming.I spent a good hour trying to adjust the positioning of the Chord Buddy to find a placement on the guitar where it would work correctly but it just didn’t line up right. Even when I was able to get the Buddy lined up to the correct strings and frets, the G chord (blue) would touch the strings and cause the strings to buzz. I tried making sure the Buddy was angled to 30 degrees as the directions say but it would move down as I played and again buzz.Again, I love the idea of the Chord Buddy, but it just did not work. If it was significantly improved I would consider trying it again. For now however, I’ll be returning the item.

Saw this on Shark Tank and while I used to play the guitar (many many) years ago, I thought I would try it just to play some on my old Fender. Love the simplicity of strumming the chords and learning songs again. Will probably be weened off the Cord Buddy but appreciate the angle of the learning curve.

The chord buddy is a great device for people of all ages. You just press one of the tabs four colours for perfect chords. When you progress you can remove the tabs one at a time and play the chord on its own. If new to the guitar buy the box set with the lesson plan song book and device all included. Don't buy a CHEAP COPY they don't fit properly. The chord buddy is a must for new beginners so you don't give up because you can't make chords. Follow the lesson book and you will enjoy playing

I love this product!! I got chord buddy about a month ago and I am playing songs already!! I am 51 and always wanted to play but was getting very frustrated with trying to press down on the strings and moving from chord to chord smoothly. I would stop and not pick up the guitar for months which I would have to start all over again because I would forget chords. With the chord buddy I practice every day!!

Ich benutze den Chors Buddy jetzt seit ein paar Wochen. Ich habe mir jetzt einen 2ten dazu bestellt, da ich mir auch noch eine 2te Gitarre gekauft habe. Der erste Buddy passt da nicht auf die neue Westerngitarre drauf. KEIN WUNDER.Es gibt 2 -3 Variationen davon. Mein erster Buddy für Classical Guitars, dann einen für Western und Akkustik und noch einen für Kindergitarre. Also bitte darauf achten, welch ein Instrument Ihr besitzt vor dem bestellen. Dann passen die auch. Bei den Classic und Konzertgitarren sind die Halsstege breiter. Leider habe ich jetzt trotz schriftlichen Hinweis 2x den für die Kindergitarre bekommen. Kein Wunder, wenn AMAZON nicht in der Lage ist die richtigen zu liefern.
